What was said that caused the feeding frenzy ?
I adnit , I never watch any of his speeches,he rarely has anything to say that I want to hear.
My heart goes out to the shooting victims. I have 1 daughter and she is in Kindergarten .
All of my suppliers were out of nearly everything 2 weeks ago. I found 1 store near my work that had some ammo ,so I picked up all they had in .223.
Not for a frenzy, just to have some, almost all of the online vendors are sold out of .223 ,.308 and some are out of 7.62X39.

I was in In-Laws and Outlaws in Gas City, and it was just me and the owner. Stopped by a few paqwn shops in Marion, and they were empty too. Maybe it's just the greater Indy area.

I was not that concerned about gun control after the election. I was in the "not gonna happen, people don't want it" camp.

I hate to say it, but all those people in the "middle" who can swing either way on almost anything- they swung hard and fast towards the AWB and probably other gun control measures on Friday.

That is not going to change soon. Those who say "it'll die down"- well, in some measure yes, but it's not going away. There is going to be a hard push towards guncontrol and the "opposition" party will give in, in large part.

Fort Wayne was the same! I drove by Freedom Firearms, parking lot was full, cars lined the streets.

I'll second that. I shot there on friday and they were swamped.

I've never been to Freedom, so I figured that since I had a few minutes to spare I'd check it out. Parking lot completely full and the building was full of Idiots all of a sudden needing a gun! I left when some dumbass was fingering the trigger and pointing the prospective purchase everywhere and at everyone. IMO the sales person should have kicked his ass out right then and there, but instead a potential customer left because of another's poor firearm handling. I'll never go back.

I was at Bradis yesterday as well, and amazingly, I found a gun I'd been looking to find for a few weeks.

While sales may be up, I don't think overall it's in "panic-mode" just yet. They still had a pretty good selection.

My biggest concern is that the run-of-the-mill guns (Glocks, XD's, M&P's) will be easy to find as always (albeit higher priced) while some of the more expensive or 'not as common' guns will become very difficult to find at their "normal" price points.

Cabela's gun purchase/register line was easily 20 deep by noon today. The whole department was packed!

With that being said, Christmas is next week. I seem to recall it being like this normally around Christmas time.

They had PLENTY of PMags, and TAPCO and had Saiga drums up the arse.

Could not believe how busy Bradis was at exactly 10 a.m. when they opened. No place to park. I realize that is not saying much, but for a Monday it was swamped. Plainfield Shooters Supply was the same way. Pretty much walked in there and walked out. I was looking for mags, but no one had the extra time to help me out. You guys were doing a great job though! Also seemed that most of the folks in those places felt just as I and the guys and I did. Very odd feeling throughout the day......

Panic mode is now in full effect; we sold completely out of AR-type rifles and magazines today. I mean, to the bare walls. Restocking is going to be a real PITA; distributors are pretty much out of everything black rifle related, and hi-cap mags of all sorts are going that way, too. We do have some stuff coming in this week, but it will be "take what you can get when you can get it" at least for a while, I think.

There was a tiny blurb on WoWo radio this morning mentioning it.

They had a good interview with Bob Aldridge by Charlie Butcher. I thought Bob did well explaining the value of self defense weaponry and the importance of safely securing the weapons. Overall, a fair treatment of the subject. IMO, anyway.
