I love that the news is reporting "dozens" or "100 others".

I never understand how a reporter can take all these notes and comments, and then only manage a couple sentences out of them. Not to mention "dozens" of us were there.

Here's a pic of the crowd to one side of me. It's hard to judge by the pictures how many people are there, but hopefully someone has a video of the "march" to give us a better idea of how many people were there. It looked like quite a few when we were making our way around the block.

Well, just got home and I gotta say I'm really disappointed with the turn out today. There are over 18,000 members at this forum alone and I doubt if there were 180 people there today. Very sad. Thanks to those who attended though.

We must have been at a different rally. I saw at least 400-500.

There was a small group of them there, they spoke to the media and I would presume the media ran with that and that alone.

One thing to keep in mind is 28,000 members does not mean 28,000 active members.

Having administered dozens of forums myself, some quite small and others substantially larger than this forum - the 'total' number of members and the 'active' members can and usually is two entirely different numbers.

With a forum this large, we probably have 500~1000 active members that are active daily, a few thousand that read but don't really post, and then several thousand more who signed up to access the classifieds or to do x, y, or z and then haven't done much if anything since.
