So I'm somewhere around 50 days and not having a soda. While reading Yahoo tonight I saw something about Coke bringing back Surge. I loved this drink back in the mid-late 90's.

It looks like you can only get it on Amazon and the cost is high... what to do?!

For the record I have lost about 6 pounds doing nothing more then not drinking soda.

You're not getting out of this life alive. You might as well enjoy an occasional Surge, if that's what you enjoy.

How cool would it be to say that you gave up soda in Summer 2014 and never looked back?

What is the appeal of drinking canned chemicals?

That's the way I look at it. I gave up soda 2 years ago and don't miss it at all. I had one root beer back in August at a pizza place and could barely force myself to drink it. No plans to fall off the wagon again anytime soon. Good luck with resisting the urge! I'd say your 50 days is like 500 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean... a good start :)

I have not had a Coke/Pepsi in so many years I do not remember. Water/Gatorade.
Occasional Sprite when a bowl of home made bettered and salted pop corn is on my lap. Hey, we all get weak occasionally.

Doesn't look like I will be buying surge anytime soon, amazon is suppose to be the only place selling it, they have one offer right now for over 200 bucks for a single case...

I see it about the same way. And to all you very healthy lifestyle people...You're gonna feel stupid laying there dying of nothing.

While I still drink an occasional soda, I don't agree with this at all.

A healthy lifestyle doesn't just bring you additional years laying in a bed dying. It can also give you many more years of an active lifestyle, doing the things that you love.

If I am blessed enough to have grandchildren someday, I don't want to be fat, sick, sluggish and diabetic. I want to be able to play with them, run with them, ride bikes, take them to the range. Teach them how to wrench, tackle, wrestle, camp.

Shoot, some people are too fat and sick to do this with their children, let alone their grandchildren.

There are always exceptions... I may live as healthy as I can and still die young. But that is my goal and I am going to keep at it.

I'm in total agreement here. I do need to find my purple Crayolas and soon.
