Wow, I have read a lot of these post and members have mostly two different opinion/views on this change and I personally feel neither one is wrong everyone has a right to there opinion... Yes, pics are nice... But, if a member does not want or does not to know how to post pics then its up to them.... they are only hurting themselves if people do not want to buy from them because of a lack of pics... the potential buyer can just move on if they feel that strong about it...NO BIG DEAL!!! or Ingo could put a "PIC" icon beside the ones that had pics that way if it didn't members who want a pic will know which ones do or do not have pics that way they wouldn't click on an add with no pic...Easy solution??? Yes, photo bucket is free.... But, once you post pics on that web sight anyone and everyone who gets on there can see you and everyone else pics... Those who like privacy may not like that at least with Ingo you have to have at least 50 post and they have some info about you it makes it a little safer.... I read on here that Ingo has 35K memebers.. how many of those do you think are because of the classifieds? I bet bet A LOT... People advertise on Ingo because of the high member count so lets keep that in mind. Also, some peoples comments are very rude to others lets not make this personal and be a smart ass to others just because they have different feeling about this than you... I guess my question is... Is this change to make the classifieds better/bigger or worse/smaller theres ony one answer here...also, why are people so worried about members only having 51 or a low post?? that's the number or guide line Ingo choose maybe not everyone has hours to spend on here....IDK!!!
I felt the same way until I read this thread from start to finish. I've got devices but lerarned to use them better because of this rule and this thread. This rule change really didnt affect me but I decided to use it as a reason to learn enjoy this free forum a little more. If it makes our classifieds better for us then so be it.

Bigger does not always mean better. This is true for the classifieds here. They were originally designed as a perk for members to sell items to other members, not a marketplace.

Many people on here think of INGO as community. We like to feel comfortable with those we sell to or buy from. The post count keeps the community reasonably clear of random people just dropping in to sell an item or two then disappearing. It also lets us get some idea of who you are, what you stand for and how you may think.

You have asked most of this early in the thread.
No worries. Low post counts are a sign they are not here for the community. 51 posts and off to the classifieds never to post outside of it again.
This matters as we are a community 1st. I have met some of the finest people through ingo. Some of them through FTF sell/buy from the classifieds but mostly through gatherings and social functions put on by folks in this community. I have had the honor to help some in need and be helped by others willing to give time/info/parts pieces or all of the above.
That is what this place was created to be. Not just a place to sell your stuff. It is hard to get a handle on a 51 count member. Mostly as they blast through in route to the class. just to run a non-advertised business. A high post count will give other members a feel for who we/I/they are and develops a comfort level.
Flippers are not a welcome part of this community.
If this is not clear to you then this may not be your kind of place. As to being rude......that can work both ways. Some of what you may see as rude is members who actually know each other or know enough from interaction to poke some fun at each other. Some are as you say, just rude. They are usually dealt with either by membership or the mods.

Privacy is not an issue. If you want privacy log off now and go to the other room. Stay there. No one from here will attempt to bother you any more.

Again, this decision came from the staff. It was decided to do this to make the classifieds easier to run not only for them but the members. This was their decision to make, not ours. No vote was called for. No memo's were sent out to a select few. It is there place to run and this is how it will be.
It does not take hours to do this. You have already spent more time asking why than it would take to set up an account and load it with pics.

Many are in the country with slow speeds and they are doing it.

IDK, what is the issue with you. The absolute majority feel this is a great thing.......:dunno:

I am not being a smart A$$ just getting right to the already made 20 times point.

Seriously...I have "managed" to get pics(sometimes loaded from another member for me) for the 4 or 5 things I've ever posted on here in almost 5 years as a member. I'm a 42 yo redneck construction worker, who lives in the country and is usually pretty busy, but in the last couple of days I've figured out how to do this quickly and easily. This is a great "community" and to be pissed about a rule change that is mildy inconvenient just means you just like to get pissed about things. Again thanks for all the "technical" support.
