They are looking up our AFPT scores to post on ingo and make fun of us for being old and out of shape. Then they are gonna call our boss's and try to get us fired at our jobs.

This is what yeager zombies do to people that go against there leader.

Yeager Zombies dont have APFT scores...you have to serve to get one of those

Well, since we can start our own training company, and be in a "safe zone" so that no one can criticize.

Kirk, since you forgot to answer the question posed to you I figured you missed it. Here it is again.

"Specifically, do you think it is unacceptable gun handling to intentionally drop your firearm in training and/or practice?"

I don't know. Why are we dropping guns?

    A. Emulate Steve Malloy?
    B. To show that your gun is just a tool?
    C. The gun is on fire?
    D. Some goofy LARP crap?
    E. Some other reason which may or may not be excusable?

Just talking here, SO.........riddle me this (Kirk if you want) Hypotetically What happens when the TR "Alumni" gets injured themself, or injure another by purposely dropping/throwing down to demonstraight the "its a tool or cool or whatever factor" that they were PROGRAMED that is acceptable. I could be wrong but isn't that all over TR's youtube channel and doctrine saying it's ok to do? Yes we are responsible for our own actions but everyone litigates anymore and grown ups are a lot like kids at school in a lot of them NEVER have the spine to stand up and say they were wrong often still blaming Jimmy! I'm not so sure they wouldn't have a strong case (especially in the east or west coast)

I am totaling feeling this.........in my ass, back and knees. Note to self, future practice range needs a high level bullet stop in order to properly train in the ninja turtle style and not shoot up farms a mile away. Steel toed boots and shin guards optional, Birkenstocks preferred. Also, don't invite Kirk, he will only slow the rest of us down with his Sammy Safety Bull****.

Remove all sling swivels, burn slings and holsters, the earth is my holster. She will retain my weapons for me as I wander, looking to do battle with eeevill wherever it may be. If I encounter a wall, I will remove it.

    Thanks Kirk!

I am trying to figure out what my best course of action is going forward. In retrospect, I can see how me asking could look like I have a "gotcha" example and trying to get you to make a blanket statement against dropping guns so I could be clever, but that is not the case, honestly just evaluating what is best for me to do.

If you come up with any examples that would fall under being reasonable regarding "E", I would be interested. I had not considered "C", but, AK's, so you have a point there.

Well, it's tactics, man, never say never, just adhere to the five letter word at the top of the handout, "logic".

Maybe like in the clinch with an empty rifle, throw the carbine down or let him have it to disrupt balance? Maybe your empty slung long gun hangs you up on something like a door? Got me.

To do silly stuff just because (you want to role play or whatever), makes no sense and you ignore the risks that the snake (the gun) will bite you.

    No problem, BE.

We should eschew the John Frum cult that runs through firearms training, especially during this Charge of the 300 and the long wind down from the Mideast Wars.

There are morons doing moronic things so they can make their programs distinct from all the rest. Being stupid and reckless, while obviously defended on INGO, only hurts us individually and collectively.

Injuries defeat the purpose of training and I am too old to crap in a bag or use a wheelchair as many of the Bearded Wonders want to do here with all their stupid gun handling.

Logic is the test. "Does this make any sense"? Can be objective or subjective.
