Now I'm really confused. So, since the forms the FFL gave me to fill out in July 2016, were outdated, I start over at the end of the queue, like I thought?

Appears that is what is happening.

I know a guy who had a form 4 for a silencer filled out, something came up and he was tight on fun money for a month, submitted his forms 2 weeks after 41F took effect, waited and waited then the dealer he bought it from got a rejection on the forms cause they were out dated. There was no "reserve your place while we get you the correct forms", it was a brand new, full length wait on the correct forms

Forms submitted for 2 suppressors and a SBR on March 10, 2017.

So I guess I have a bit longer to wait.

Matt from Front Towards Enemy just let me know there was a serial number discrepancy on one of my suppressors.
    He's PDFing them a document.

Don't know if this will slow mine down or not, because I think someone does a "pre-check" if the documents.
    :dunno:

It is what it is, I suppose. After all this time and money invested, the luster has dulled from this suppressor. At least I didn't wait for Trump to push through the hearing protection act. Looks like that'll be another long, long wait with maybe no positive results at the end.

Several days ago, I got a call from my FFL. He gave me new forms for my suppressor to fill out, including new fingerprint cards and new passport photos were required. ATF cashed my check in August, 2016. I got the paperwork completed and mailed off the next day. I don't know what this is all about, unless the originals were lost or the original forms were outdated. I sure hope I don't have to wait another year.
Just an update. From the time I resubmitted everything until I got my suppressor yesterday, was around two weeks. The entire process, from when ATF cashed my check, until getting the stamp yesterday, was one year and two weeks. Of course I started the process long before that, because I bought the suppressor online and had it shipped to my dealer. I think I bought the Silencerco Sparrow in May, 2016. I'm looking forward to taking it out for a test drive as I have two hosts ready to go. I just hope the other suppressor (9mm) I bought a few weeks ago doesn't take so long.

This.....is very unexpected. Wonder if somehow someone lost your original paperwork or it because damaged (spilled liquid on, etc.). I guess without talking to an examiner or assistant at the NFA division it's all speculation

At any rate congrats on the new can, love shooing .22 suppressed

I believe it had something to do with outdated forms and the photo and prints are supposed to be submitted within a year. I could be wrong. Anyway, I mailed off the new documents on July 29, 2017 and the tax stamp got here August 24, 2017. I'm sure glad I didn't have to go back to the end of the queue.

It appears that the ATF is not doing anything in any order. I called to check on mine from 08-16 and was told that it hasn't even been assigned to an examiner yet. Was also told that they are just doing random months and to call back in 2 to 4 weeks

My experience has been 2-3 weeks on these. You should be fine. Thanks for your post, reminds me that mine expire in November and I need to file for another year.

we don't see very many form 3 time lines so here ya go....

DSG Arms to Copper Customs 06/02/17 - 07/25/17
Capitol Armory to Copper Custom 07/28/17 - 09/18/17
Buds Guns - Copper Custom 08/15/17 - Pending

These are all paper form 3's. I have been told by the ATF that if your dealer is electronically filing their Form 3's then the wait times are between 24hr and 7 days.

nice reference to see what the diffence is between vendors and how they file. If there are still 2+ month waits I wanna avoid those dealers. Also, in the case of Buds Guns for me..... I made the purchase on 7/7/17, they drug ass for over a months before filing the form three:xmad:
