Sorry for the thread ressurection, but I saw the trailer for his new movie Gunman. Since he is anti-gun now, I'm sure he will donate any money he makes from this film to a charity of Charlize's choosing.

I missed this thread back when it was going, but now know what I know, it's very odd he is playing in a movie called Gunman. But we see tons of people in Hollywood just like this such as Leeum Neeson, Mark Wahlberg etc. Play all of these movies with guns and then say that people shouldn't have them because of blah blah blah.

And did Penn really call them "cowardly killing machines" I really wish someone antigun nut just blatantly lied and put said quotes in the article. But I think that about a lot of what I read... What a freaking idiot!

So, we don't see the movie "gunman" and whatever Neesom's latest gun movie is.
Enough people do it, maybe they'll shut their pie hole.

The weekend’s other major wide release, “The Gunman” fired blanks, picking up a meagre $5 million and seemingly deep-sixing Sean Penn’s plans to be an aging action star. Open Road distributed the film in 2,816 theatres and had expected a debut in the $8 million range. “The Gunman’s” modest results were good enough for a fourth place finish in an otherwise slow weekend.

    Oh darn. Box Office Bust.

Seriously, politics and douche baggery aside, who could possibly accept Sean Penn in a role of a character who is "ex special forces"? He may want to play roles like that and producers might be delighted to have a big name for a role, but it's huge casting mistake.

Exactly what I thought when seeing the previews. He just doesn't have "it." Unfortunately, Liam Neeson has "it" and is a great actor. Shame he has to be an a-hole, I will miss his movies

    Could be anywhere
He's a friend of dictators, it doesn't matter if he's broken up with some chick who was going to tell him what he could or could not do, he shouldn't own weapons. To do so is against his laws of nature, he thinks only the ruling class should be able to defend themselves, so unless he becomes a politician he should lay down and die like he believes the rest of us should do.

I have zero use for him, his purported entertainment, or any vapid ideas that float from his pie hole.

Sorry for the necropost, but I see Sean Penn now fears for his life after his interview with El Chapo may have lead to his arrest, and Netflix is about to release a documentary about it. I wonder if he regrets that sculpture at Anderson Cooper's house? Now that Charlize isn't there to protect him anymore?
