Another 100 or so rounds today, including more 124gr HST HP, still 100%. Firmly planted in keeper zone.
I'll just drop this here for anyone on the fence... not going to quote the price in the post.

That’s hard as **** on the extractor!First time out with mine today. 200 flawless rounds. IÂ’ve been carrying glocks for 5 Years. Had the original m&p as well as the compact version. Needless to say I ditched the smiths in favor of the glocks. Decided to give the m&p 2.0 compact a try. Love the grip texture, some may think itÂ’s excessive. IMO the new m&p trigger is awesome. Hands down better than my polished Glock trigger with ghost connector. One issue I had with the m&p was (when taking a short cut) placing a single round in the chamber and releasing the slide, instead of inserting a mag and chambering a round the proper way, the slide would hit the caseing and not go into battery. My g19 never had a problem with this.

I had to try just once. Call it a torture test. Anyways, how’s the CC experience been for everyone? Still waiting on my holster to come it. I’ve seen some complain the grip texture is harsh on the skin. That’s hard as **** on the extractor!

No problems after a light sanding. Took mine down just enough to go easy on the under the shirt skin but still have a very good grip while firing. Did the same on FS and Shield 45.
What do you guys think of it compared to a g19? It’ll be hard to replace the 19 as my edc but I think it can and will. That's what I did on my Shield 45. Just a light sanding. Tones down the aggressiveness of the grip, but still a very good grip texture.

My opinion is the 2.0 Compact is just as good as the 19. I recently did a little personal testing at my local range with it and my Gen 4 19. Nothing scientific just a good shooting comparison for accuracy, recoil, performance, etc. Both are excellent guns and have their advantages and disadvantages for me. Couple examples I found, the 2.0 is slightly heavier giving the Glock the weight advantage. However the M2.0 has less felt recoil due to the weight. One thing I did discover and being a lefty I have never had a pistol with an ambi slide stop. I found myself riding it some with my 2.0 and since the stop has loosened up considerably caused a couple of empty mag last shot slide drops. Giving the G4 Glock an advantage there for me. Accuracy about the same on both using 115 Magtech FMJ. I feel very comfortable that either will get the job done as long as I do my part.
These opinions and observations are how I feel I'm sure others will chime in and YMMV.
** One thing I forgot to mention was grip angle. The advantage for me goes to the Smith. 18 degree angle feels better to me than the 22 degree on the Glock.**

I’ve only carried smiths until the gen4 19 came out, then I ditched both of my original m&ps and built up my gen 4 arsenal. So I went from only Smith to only glocks. This is my first deviation from glock and ironically it’s back to smith.Though I only have 200 rounds through mine, I have to say I’m very impressed. How invested are you in the Glock platform? I'm heavily invested and it may well supplant the 19 in my rotation. Much of the summer and in places where I want to stay very concealed, I currently carry a 43, and doubt I'll head to a Shield in its place, but for the times when I carry one of my 19's, the 2.0 may replace it (though I have not as yet shot a Gen 5 to compare it)
Thanks for the mag info, I was just about to look and see if anyone has released them yet. My vedder light tuck will be here today. I still have to look around for mag pouches but I’m assuming the ones that fit the original m&p mag will workFor those looking for spare mags, I ordered 3 from Quanitico Tactical Friday morning (11/10) @ about 10am and they came in the mail yesterday (11/12) via USPS. $82 for 3 mags ($72 + $10 shipping). I thought the $10 was a little steep for their "regular" shipping but given how quick they got here, no complaints what so over. They were in retail packaging vs bulk.

I'm probably just short of 800 rounds through my M2 compact and I'm a fan. I've had 4 G19's (gen 2, 2x gen 3, gen 4) and for me, the M2 compact feels better in the hand. Not sure if it's the grip angle, grip texture (I have my M1 M&P stippled), or trigger reach but I do like the feel and am looking forward to putting some more rounds though it.
For those looking for a holster, I ordered a Torsion IWB holster from Bravo Concealment and it's worked out extremely well so far through 2 classes and 2 range trips.
I like the trigger I just wish it didn’t break so far back in the pull.I fondled one while doing some kydex work. It felt good in the hand, trigger seemed to be a little better than the originals but still not great IMO.
