I for one am glad kut has shown up to point out the problems with us. Glad we're focusing on the problem

for the record though I read "yt" as "white" also. "Whitey" isn't really in my lexicon. Internet searches suggest "whitey" is what it means though.

doesn't matter to me. "Yt" to me isn't offensive. Wishing my kids dead because they are white is what I'm focusing on. Kut, is she "ignorant" because she just doesn't know white babies should live?[/QUOTE

Doc, "whitey" has been in the lexicon of my friends and I for years. But for us it refers to an attitude rather than a skin tone. That guy who wants to push to the front of the line at the podium in the boarding area or cut the line in Starbucks because his time /problem is more important than yours - he's "whitey", and it doesn't matter what his ethnicity is

Whitey didn't invent peanut butter, or blood transfusions, or the imaging x-ray spectrometer, or the potato chip.
Peanut butter - Aztecs, and then the first patent was by a Canadian.
    Blood Transfusion - British doctor
Imaging X-ray spectrometer - American Ph.D. (who happens to have high melanin content in his skin)
Potato chip - English doctor (and cook)

But, depending on which urban dictionary version of "whitey" we are using, you may be totally correct. They all may have had bad experiences with pot.

Where did you find this? I'm curious because best that I can find is it was either a black cook or his sister who created them. And the stories vary about whether it was an accident, or done on purpose to tick off a customer.

ETA Okay, I found where the British claim it was him due to he has the first recorded recipe for making them. But I'll stick with it was an American that did so.

So after much food origin debate have we figured out if the former nurse is a racist or just ignorant?

Do we need a poll for this?

    A. Ignorant

    B. Racist

    C. Peanut Butter
