Interesting if he could use a seized asset as bond.

He can use a seized asset as long as he still owns it and it is not an illegal item.

Assuming his firearms were legally owned, there is nothing in this case that would seem to allow for forfeiture. They remain his property. Even if he were convicted of the felony, while he could noy possess them, he would still own them and could sell them.

It's quite a different matter if the property seized is thought to be the proceeds of a criminal enterprise (Range Rover owned by an accused drug dealer, for instance).

Yeah, just posted my ridiculous bail and am home again. Never broke a law in my life, had many FFLs and worked at a few as well over my past and never made or produced anything illegal. The BFBI tore the heck outta my house and broke a lot of my inert ordinance that I had collected over the years legally, all with blue tips and drilled cases and no powder but they probably blew them up to make sure they weren't real. Hard to say really, makes me wonder what this country has become as I never did anything other than a few speeding tickets over the year to violate a single law.

I am sure to take a beating on this so have at it.

Judge set bail at $100,00 CASH, only no property or anything else, CASH. While I was coming back from that hearing a guy told me he had shot at a bunch of people standing at a party and had a lower bail and he also told me he was a multiple offender. I hope my lawyer can get me off of this one….

    .
If it were me, I would probably have this thread closed down until it's all over.
    I'm happy you're OK though.

    Best wishes, brother.

You probably already know this but just in case, avoid saying too much about your case here. It will be used against you.

    Glad you're ok.

I have said what I said, never broke a law in my life and the Feds have already said as much in my case so I can't see them using it against me but for now, I am done.

Thank you all, I am glad I am home again finally.
