Yeah i feel like i played QB in the superbowl and got sacked all game. No vidible bruises but i can barely move yet today and very sore
That concrete under the thin carpet takes it right out of you.
Had a BLAST!!! If anyone is on the fence on going, please go!!
today is your last chance and it will be the most amazing thing you will ever see. Anybody who is anybody in the firearms industry is there in your backyard. Go see your rock stars!
Thats how I feel about it. These people are MY rockstars. I got to talk with and get my picture with Mr. KNIGHT of knights armament yesterday. I was using his stuff in far off places back when i still had hair on my head. And hes still making the best stuff to kill bad guys for.our military and cool stuff for us civilians too.

Well put! I’m still pumped...my wallet, not so much.

View attachment 76669 My son and I went Friday, and Saturday, I totally geeked out everytime i saw a famous shooter, or gun guy, met Sheriff Jim Wilson, Maj John Plaster, Mark Keefe IV, Phil Shrerier, saw Ken Hackathorn, but didn't meet him.Got some autographs on my NRA hat, and really enjoyed the whole thing! Wished I'd had the extra money they were selling 80% kits for $120. bought a knife, and my son bought a Kalashnikov USA shirt, now he wants an AK ( I really tried to raise him right!) but also wants an AR too! Saw Colt present Maj Plaster with a semi-auto copy of the XM-177 that he carried during the Vietnam war, same serial number, saw this hardened old warrior ( Maj.Plaster) cry. Loved every minutes of it!! Only booth I missed was Tippman Arms, wanted to see their Rolling block in .357.... Sorry the other picture is upside down, no idea how it did that, darn Iphone

    Well...
If you play your cards right, you could be running the Tippmann Arms Booth next time. :):

    Any extra cash laying around?

I went yesterday with 4 family members and had a great time. This was my 3rd NRA Convention and they have all been highly enjoyable. I held and dry fired probably 50 handguns. I couldn't find a handgun at the HK and CZ booths that I didn't like. I was surprised with Canik and FMK handguns. They were better than expected especially for the price. Lots of guns with good to excellent triggers. My big surprise was the Glock 43 I tested had the worst trigger of any handgun I tried. I specifically wanted to try it and I wanted to like it but the trigger was simply awful.

Well the kids really wanted to come back for youth day, so I'm here for the third day in a row.

My dogs are barking but we're having fun. They had a scavenger hunt for kids and we had to hit 9 different booths spread across the show floor. They had different youth shooters in each booth signing autographs so it was neat to see the different types of competition they shoot in. We started late and had to hustle to hit the deadline, but we managed to complete the hunt in a little more than an hour. No way we could have done that yesterday. Crowds are way down today.

    "Crowds are way down today."

That's because old guys like me are plumb tuckered out from 2 days of walking on that "carpet/stuff" on the floor. I will add that I enjoyed the 2 days there though.

Hope for the future. I was in a meeting earlier this pm, I met three VERY impressive young people working in support of campus carry. Two of them are current students and are planning empty holster events. The biggest problem they have: getting holsters.

After the meeting I spoke with both. I told them I was partial to my leather and Kydex but I’d be happy to send them $10 holsters I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing.

Hopefully more to follow on this.

Not to be critical but, If they do not currently have a holster...

They are working in support of campus carry...

What would they have to put in a holster?

I finally made it to the convention today for about 3 1/2 hours before I had to come back home for family stuff. Hustled my way through and scored a ton of free swag, mostly hats and a nice T-shirt from Anderson Manufacturing. Plus enough stickers to cover my gun safes. I would’ve home come home with about 20 T-shirts at two for five dollars but like an idiot I left my cash in my car when I picked up an Uber to go downtown. Everyone was blowing out their T-shirts cheap because they don’t want to pack them up and send them home.

I was sorely tempted to upgrade my Life Membership from Endowment to Patron but I decided to hold off for a year.

Empty holster event BF. No guns or bananas in the holster. Most students in these groups don't have guns (or holsters) but are strong on 2A.

I'm kicking around a couple ideas. Students for Concealed Carry is a national organization and Turning Point is also involved. If they get a centralized depot they can box up and mail as needed, send back to the depot, repeat.

I thought the freebies sucked this year. I didn't see many hats worth owning or any shirts. No cool key rings, not many patches. A bust for swag imo
But i wasnt looking for that stuff really this year anyways

Friday I got a shirt from Anderson mfg, and a patch from ghost grid. Winchester had bottle openers. Cold steel had DVDs about some dude hunting with pistols.
