Thanks Dean, I sent you a PM asking about these, I think I mis ID-ed a blade in a picture of yours since you must have just gotten this one…I want one.:) Also, I get why a lot of people don't reply to my PMs, they don't want to suddenly come on the RADAR, but they already re, just don;t realize it.

I am now exploring getting myself a SOCOM Elite, I too love Microtechs. Just need to save up some money, then I will get one, prolly one of the least expensive non-serrated one available at the time I have the money for it.:ingo:

I am starting to think that if I post in a thread, or dare to post more than once, the thread will die, again because it is me and folks think they will get some on them. Good luck folks and get yourself a good lawyer. I have a good lawyer so I am pretty sure this will end well, then I can sell all of my guns, at least those I figure aren't things I really cred about owning, then I will leave Indiana and see if I can't find a better place to be. I already have a good idea of where I will go too, and once there, no more online anything. :yesway:

Yeah, I know you want the green micarta one but I wanted you to know that these two are very good blades. Open fast and lock solid, I like the wood scales better myself, and the leather holster they come with holds the blade well on your belt. Rhino, you know you want one, why fight? LOL :):

Still holding strong since I acquired those DLT Trading exclusive Buck 110s last year. You'd think that if enough time passes, the urge would diminish, and yet is has not!

I'm trying to decided what I'll get to celebrate whatever new job I get when I get a new job. I didn't think I'd have this much time to ponder!

Are you familiar with the Reate J.A.C.K? :):

I now have recent experience with a knife-buying moratorium required by financial health concerns vs. my usual "I'm out of control and I need to stop!" routine. I think I prefer the latter, but the end result is the same.

At some point when I am fully employed and savings are recharging, I'll be able to divert some resources to a "feel good" purchase. Some ideas have come and gone over the past few months as I continue to see cool new (or new to me) knives online or youtube, but nothing stands out as "The One" anymore. Perhaps my addiction is waning?

Current front runners are some of the newer folders from Spyderco (Subvert, Amalgam, Caribbean, SpydieChef) and a few fixed blades from Bark River, Bradford, maybe a few others.

I'll probably be selling more before any of that happens, though!

    Maybe you are cured!

"Hello, my name is Rhino and I have not bought a knife in x weeks."

Or maybe you already have too much blades.
I guess the larger your knife collection is the harder it is to get excited about new knives that you don't own yet.

I'm still in the no-buy zone, and in fact I've been selling knives for a while now. However, the stress level of the situation has increased. I learned of this:

I just convinced my niece to order one of those Buck 110s in 20CV for her boyfriend for his birthday. On the condition that I get to handle it first. ;)

And by "handle" you mean "confiscate and use for 20 years to ensure proper function and attainment of quality expectations."

Seems perfectly fair to me. I am currently trying not to convince myself that I need the new Spyderco Shaman in Cru-Wear with Micarta scales. Im failing miserably. That thing is... whoo buddy.

    Don't fight the inevitable!

Im really trying hard to find reasons not to get on the waitlist for it... my only real gripe is that its a Spyderco and Im not much of a fan HOWEVER my sample size for Spyderco is 1 and the 1 I own is not exactly representative of current Spyderco quality I am sure.

Clearly you need another sample in order to make a reasoned assessment.

Is Buck going to make more of those automatics? I think I might pick one one up if I run across one.

The 110 and 112 autos, both the standard 420HC and Micarta with CPM S30V are usually in stock at the online dealers who sell Buck. They're standard production items now.

This is what I needed. An enabler. Rhino told me to do it honey. 

    You're welcome!

I'm a fan of the Launch series. I have 4 right now. And I think I'd like 2 more. :)

I own 2 both launch 1's one blue with a black stonewash blade, and the other is od green with a silver stone wash handle, I bought the od greed one as a Christmas present for my dad, and I don't think he ever carried it, when I got it back after he died, it was still in the box

but i'm kinda glad they couldn't find the key for the display, cause that knife is small, but if they'd had a launch 8 i'd probably have broken the display just to get it!
