Federal Black Pack Rebate woes

I just go to ammunition depot and get straight good prices on 308 and .223.No rebate bull to mess with.

Forget rebates just lower the ammo to what the rebate would have been and sell it that way.

FWIW, I submitted 2 rebates on 12/12 and they were approved today, 12/31.

5 minutes to submit on line with 3 pictures. Approval received back yesterday, no issues.

I just sent one in for Fed Premium .308. It took a lot longer than 5 minutes.

They require a lot of redundant confirmations. Had to send 4 pics and run down the shipping box to get one of them.

I kept telling myself how stupid this was for ten bucks. But, it's ten bucks...

We really need to start a campaign to stop this rebate crap. Maybe an e-mail form letter to send to the manufacturer/retailer/stupid VistaOutdoors? Anytime we see an advertisement for rebate, send the letter whether a purchase is a consideration or not telling them we refuse to participate and will spend money on another brand.

Got my approval email a few days ago. Emailed said to allow 8 weeks for rebate to arrive. Ridiculous that they wait so long to send the rebate after the approval.

I received my $10 rebate on some hunting ammo with no problems, even got an email update on status. I am however still waiting on about $40 worth of rebates from Winchester on some 22 ammo I picked up at Rural King which was bought before the Federal ammo. WTH ...Went to their website and it shows it as processed but waiting to be sent.....

Last year, after waiting a couple months, I got a card complete with magnetic stripe...that didn't work...anywhere.

Lucky Gunner's delivery and customer service are great, but the rebates are BS

Whenever I see a mail in/email rebate at a store, especially Mernards, I walk away. I have never had a good experience with rebates. I figured, the longer the cash sits at retailer or manufacturers bank,the more interest they are getting. That's why it takes so long for rebates.

I just got a Winchester rebate that was SUPPOSED to take 4-6 weeks. That was over 20 weeks ago!
