    Minimalization. A very poor argument.

The pens cost $15 each. Not $15,000. Trump loses more presidential golf balls in a day than the cost of a pen.

Actually, I played quite a bit of golf when younger.

Do the math. Show your work.

I golf too. Overwhelmingly, balls are lost on the tee shot or when hitting over water hazards. 18 holes and 30 pens means losing 1 2/3 per hole, every hole - 5 balls every three holes. Trump isn't anywhere close to that bad of a golfer. Hell, even I'm nowhere near that bad, and I play a lot less

If you're trying to tie the cost to only one pen, I'm seeing a three pack of DJT presidential seal golf balls at $12.95. I don't know if he uses them or just gives them out as souvenirs, but he probably doesn't pay retail. But even at retail, he would have to lose (as opposed to giving away) more than three balls per round. Unlikely

I don’t see Biden as a political opponent until/ if he’s nominated? Had Trump done the same with all the current and/or former candidates, that would change my thinking.

I wonder if all the democratic Senators running for President will abstain from voting today since their vote could be (is) motivated by their desire to defeat Trump in November.

Impeachment is sooo boring and a nothing burger on the morning of the Senate vote on the impeachment of the President Of The United Statesmost major news sites have little or no coverage.

NYT and WaPo have several articles above simple headlines on impeachment certainty nothing that the situation truly warrants.

The Senate of the United States will vote for only the third time in our country's history on whether to remove the President Of The United States from office. This is serious ***** and no one is seriously paying attention.

I wonder if all Republican Senators who stated before the trial that they were taking their lead from the president will abstain as well, since their vote could be (is) understood to not be impartial, as they swore before the trial.

    ...see it works both ways

You're clear mine was a parody rebuttal right? I mean, I thought was clear.

Yeah. I get it. My comment was widely directed.

Impeachment is more a political than legal procedure in this context, so I am not aware what level of "impartiality" it demands or could be expected.

I suppose, that one could say that if a senator votes in a manner that he or she believes is best for the country based upon their personal politics, the fact that it may help them politically is irrelevant.

I feel like I've heard something like that before.
