Do you think this "serious and solemn" event should have a comedy aspect to it?

Does attempted parody really belong in an all important to the future democracy impeachment hearing?

What was he hoping to accomplish with this stunt then?
A serious impeachment inquiry was no place for an SNL skit. Especially coming from the committee chair.

A Utah state legislator has already filed a bill to begin the process of recalling Romney. I think he may just flip parties if his constituents do not watch him close. I despise Romney because he had three good options if he wanted to run for senate. He could have manned up and fought a real fight and taken a dem seat away in Massachusetts, he could have manned up and fought a good fight to take away a dem seat in Michigan, and probably could with Trump support, but no, he takes a true conservative seat from Utah and makes it a moderate seat weakening the republican party not strengthening it.

He is a lousy Republican and he is not completely bat-**** crazy socialist dumocrap. Why would either party want him? Maybe just for his name recognition.

From my understanding, there is no process, and the state legislator is introducing a bill that would allow for such a process. The requirements for removal, are insanely high; needing 25% of registered voters to sign off on just starting the process by putting it on a ballot, and even so, you can bet there would be a Constitutional challenge to it as well. I doubt he's going anywhere.

Well, until the next election. Then he will.

Getting signatures from 1/4 of the populace (800,000k) just to start? You gotta be really, really mad to get there. I just don't see that happening.... and that's disregarding the fact that it's never happened (removal after recall), and is probably unConstitutional.

Edit: Oh, you mean voted out.

He was serious when he read that. It is just that it was so far off the wall that now, after the fact, it is convenient for libtards to say it was humor so they don't have to address how bat-****ty it was.

Just out of curiosity, did you actually hear him when he made the statement, start to finish.... because I thought he made it fairly obvious that it was parody ent to express the overall intent of the call. Not clips, not stories, I want to know if you watched it live when it happened, and in full.

    .

It is a tough road to go but other states have recall and I have never heard of constitutional challenges to that exercise. That said I see this goes one of two ways, they get Romneys attention and he is more in line with his constituents views or he will be a lame duck and vacate when he finds a better landing spot. He will not want to lose...

Or as above he flips parties...

Eh, let's be honest with ourselves here. Schiff didn't expect anyone to believe that's literally what Trump said. There's a reason the WH isn't really pushing all that hard on that point, outside of the occasional off-handed mention in lists of other things.

It was stupid political theatrics. Targeting it as a serious offense is just PR.
