He has denounced racism and specifically white supremacists several times.
do you think he supports them?

and by the way... talking about racists.... he never said “great people on both sides”, so don’t try that one.
It doesn't matter how many times he's denounced it outside of a highly publicized event, it looked bad on him not to do it at the debate when the nation was watching. You can't expect the media not to latch on to that for the rest of the election. He even asked, "who do you want me to denounce?" The line "I denounce white supremacists" would not have been that hard to say, especially in the national spotlight. The fact we're even having that discussion shows he's only hurt his own image.

I see your point on Trump making a better argument, but kindness is done with these people. If these people are dumb enough to demand free stuff, demand reparations, demand us turn in our guns, kindness in the form of rolling over.
If it was a skilled debater up there instead of a bumbling old man, kindness wouldn’t go the other way.

Time and place. Debates don’t re-affirm locked in voters, they sway undecided. Looking the part goes a long way to helping with that sway.

The whole debate was very revealing in that both candidates exposed how out-of-touch they are with the average American. Obviously, I'm voting for Trump again, because of the disastrous consequences of doing otherwise, but damn, he missed so many opportunties to connect with average people.

Average people don't want big picture solutions. We want real world, it's-my-butt-on-the-line answers. I hope that people are smart enough to realize what the candidates' statements mean for them personally, rather than look at the big rosy picture they try to paint.

Did I not hear Chris Wallace correctly?

Did he loop white supremacist's and militia in together?

What does that speak to "militia" being referenced in the Second Amendment?

Trump was off his game. He could have eaten Biden up on packing the court and the green new deal. I think he got Hunter Biden and the “China Plague” locked into his head, and couldn’t get on target.
Yes, Trump could definitely do better staying on track, but (and what I sometimes like about him) he doesn’t say what he thinks people want to hear, he says what is on his mind. Many times he probably shouldn’t.
Biden surprised me by staying on track as well as he did. Luckily he had it all written in front of him. Otherwise he didn’t stand a chance.
overall, I’d have to say The President won this one.

I have to listen to that again. I heard Trump say Proud Boys, but I didn't hear Wallace say any names.

Wallace said proud boys, so that's what trump repeated.

It was messy, but I don't think anyone will be asking what Trump's views or agenda is. I think he was perfectly clear on conveying that.

He was murky on all the various angles to attack biden on. Like there were too many things to go after and not enough time.

If it were me I'd really have not bothered with 99% of the attacks and simply focused on his political record of the past 47 years and making him stand firm on his policy. But I'm not Trump.

Yes I caught what Chris was trying to ‘normalize’ or at least associate and did not appreciate it.
Maybe the 2nd wasn’t talked about by design because Trump would have mopped the floor with him on that too.

No, the President certainly didn’t win this one. He gave no views on policy or what a second term would entail... or maybe he did, but it was lost due to his antics. Biden on the other hand, won by simply remaining standing and giving coherent answers. The Trump campaign played it up as if Biden was tired, weak, and half senile... none of that was evident.

Honestly, with how unprofessional and childish Trump was (and he was very much so), it's hard to see how he could've "won." Trump honestly looked pathetic. Biden was as confused and disorganized as ever though so he definitely didn't do any better.

So Biden won because the bar was so low he could hardly trip over it if he tried. That’s the real evidence that the people have lost.

Ok, if that’s the metric we’re using. Trump acted exactly as expected. Biden didn’t completely disappear in a puddle of goo. Biden won!
