Talk radio exists because of Rush Limbaugh. They are right, they can't replace him. They can fill the time slot and continue the fight.

These guys are very good contributors. We'll see how captivating they can be.

I'm noticing with FNC and WIBC, that good contributors may not necessarily be good hours long hosts.

    I will

    give them a shot.
I have been listening to tony Katz local lately. I like the guy. He is spot on top of this thing.
I like Tony in the early show, when he is discussing local oriented stuff. I skip the much more mundane afternoon show on national politics.

Always like to pick up at least the first hour of Hammer and Nigel for more local stuff (or a local bend on national stuff) again at 3:00.

I like Tony Katz also, but he can go off on tangents at times that make me want to ignore him.

He is railing local school systems pretty hard on CRT.

Rush had a way to suck you in and keep you there wanting more.

Early on Rush would wear on me. But he developed a better delivery as he matured on air. Tony's charm is his rants.

    Tony's rants are epic.

Initially when Tony first came here, I was a little skeptic, but he grew on me because he takes interest on what happens in the Indy area.

There will always be a spot for Rush, he is irreplaceable and was so great on making liberals heads explode.
Once 10am hit and Bob & Tom was off air, my radio dial was set to 1070 and later 931.1, Garrison, Rush, Dana when I could pull the stations in, I religiously downloaded the podcast to play when I was out of range while out in BFE delivering beer.

I enjoyed listening to Rush, but the one that I really miss is Roger Hedgecock. He didn't die, he just retired from radio. I used to download all of his podcasts and listen to them while I worked. He would always discuss legislation and expose the corruption.
