One scumbag, numerous officers including a SWAT team, countless rounds fired. Scumbag barely grazed, 3 officers injured. What a crap show. I wonder if officers Gadsens problems were hardware, software, or a combination.
The guy that kept ejecting mags? Donut said he was probably death-gripping his pistol with his thumb over the mag release.

Right but looking at the fact that he had a dot, and a mag well, I just wonder if he had an extended mag release too.
Looks like a 320x5 or similar, possibly with old-style trigger. I'm sure it has all the bells & whistles. I wonder if this is just a need to train more with the weapon, but I can see someone reaching the other conclusion and dictating that extended mag releases need to be verboten.

There are innocents in the scene, so you can't go full blackhawk on the guy. A rifle could have made a difference, but that's almost always the case.

Having a solid, consistent grip that doesn't disable the gun under pressure matters.

    Capacity and gun handling matters.

The ability to run and still be able to shoot accurately matters.

If only...there were a place people could practice these skills under pressure...

Where does one get to practice whilst being shot at with a full-auto firearm?

Hammer and Nigel reporting that they have yet to announce the cop shooter's name, but that he was out on probation with priors?
