McConnell needs to go, and soon. Numerous reasons at the link. For all the BS on INGO about “Trump“ candidates losing, including Blake Masters, it was the lack of support by the senate republican pac that he controls, while he gave money to a candidate that LOST the republican primary.

“McConnell also famously trashed Republican candidates and the voters who selected them, refused to advocate strenuously for the candidates, and failed to develop or pursue a persuasive message to Americans for voting to give Republicans control of the Senate.”

“When Democrats poured $75 million — not even counting the outside spending — into defending Mark Kelly’s Senate seat in Arizona, McConnell left Republican challenger Blake Masters high and dry. Masters had only $9 million. Instead, McConnell interfered in Alaska’s Senate race even though the top two contenders were both Republican. He gave his valuable cash to weak Republican Lisa Murkowski, the candidate who did not even win the Alaska Republican Party’s endorsement! Murkowski is known for not voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, among other notable decisions.”

“After the disappointing midterm loss, McConnell blamed others.”

Hate to say it, but we probably have a better chance of defeating him in Kentucky than in Washington. He needs a primary opponent, but I think we see how far that will go.

No one did the required leg work in the primary. He’s better than a democrat…

If we defeat him in a vote for leadership I think he would retire. That is functionally a defeat of him and his priorities

The more he is allowed to just thumb his nose about the priorities of the republican electorate the bolder he will be about serving himself and his paymasters rather than us. Break him and save yourselves a host of problems later

Until the GOP figures out how to best use campaign funds to actually drive voter turnout, I don't think pouring a bunch of money into a race actually does much.

People aren't voting based on campaign ads and the GOP still runs a very traditional ground game. Meanwhile, Democrats use the money for ballot harvesting, lining up shuttles to bus people to the polls.

Until Republicans can start running races the way voting works today, they're going to keep losing. Stop complaining about mail in voting and learn how to get people to actually do it.

Only if Todd Young and the 16 other RINOs that voted in favor of the omnibus go with him!
I’m sure it will help if you keep calling Republican voters names and alienating them, maybe it’s just me ??

I’ve been a Republican since Reagan and I doubt you voted for him. I did. Haven’t missed an election. Not one.

I’ve never heard the word RINO until Trump came along. We live in a Republic not an Aristocracy, He lost, get over it. Now let’s find a candidate that can beat the bum that sits in the White House. Nuff said I’m out.

Senator McConnell is a mixed bag. He doesn't like Trump. He never hid that fact. He doesn't like Trump candidates. The good thing about him, he did an outstanding job getting those judicial appointments through. He played hard ball politics. he thumbed his nose at the outside pressure from the special interest groups and the press, not a lot of politicians will do that.

What? When did I call a republican voter a name? You obviously don't know the definition of RINO. I'm 34 so, no I did not vote for Reagan, but what does Reagan have to do with anything? Other than banning FA's and supporting the AWB of course, but your probably all for that. I’ve also voted every time since I turned eighteen don't see what that has to do with my comment either, but ok. Also what does my original comment have to do with Trump?

Man, I am so confused right now. Merry Christmas though I hope your day gets better.

I don’t really like the whole RINO thing either. How are they not really a Republican when it appears an awful lot of other Republicans agree with them. Republican has no special magical meaning. It doesn’t mean you are a conservative (contrary to what FNC and other media says). Indiana should be able to do better with a real conservative. i think it’s clear that in New England, Susan Collins is about as good as we can do.

It appears that way, because there are too many RINO's so of course they have others that agree with them. I consider a candidate a RINO if they vote like like a dem, but use an R next to their name. I mean what else would you call them? Trash I guess? I mean what I really call them I can't say here.

I first heard the term RINO back in the 90's, Rush Limbaugh used to use it all the time during the era of the elder Bush.

I haven't seen any good come from using it, like any derisive term, it gets thrown around far too much.

Years ago, people referred to "Goldwater" Republicans vs. "Rockefeller" Republicans to explain the differences in the party. We need something like that to denote differences without being insulting.

I tend to lean towards the libertarian viewpoint, but I am inconsistent depending upon the issue and seldom feel so confident that I am correct on anything to believe that righteous name-calling is in order.

Basically they are liberal Republicans. Same way that there are moderate Democrats like Machin and Sinema. There used to be quite a few conservative Democrats, even supportive of gun rights, but they have all been run off by the leftists in the party.
