He has that deadly combination of ignorance and confidence.

"He has all the virtues I despise in a man and none of the vices I admire." -Winston Churchill

"That feller can cram more words into the fewest ideas of anyone I ever met." - Lincoln

You are given two ears and one mouth. Try to listen twice as much as you talk.

"Some people should only be allowed 1000 words per day." -DCR

I try to be patient with stupidity, but not with those who are proud of it.

I can't think of any TV or movie quotes, but I have a couple that I refer to pretty regularly IRL. One is "If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got."

The other is a bit from some romance novel that I read about 30 years ago where a young girl would always run to her rabbi to tell him about her day-- that this boy pushed her or that girl called her a name. The rabbi would tell her "From this, little girls don't die." It's amazing how many times I remember this when I am worried about something or just whining about something trivial. Now you manly men may want to reword it into something like "Quit acting like a little bitch; it ain't gonna kill ya." but the sentiment is the same.

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion;respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place.Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Sometimes you just have to flush the toilet. If it's important, it will float to the top. An older gentleman told me that when the ol lady and I was having a lot of trouble.

"Don't pee on an electric fence" Me, after peeing on an electric fence at age 6
Did the same but I didn't know it was there as it was buried in brush/grass and couldn't see it.
Afterwards I then realized what the tick.....tick.....tick I heard was (discharging to the grass and weeds).
