Oh... well then... that changes everything.Pickles AND onions.
Maybe we should organize an INGO run on McRib's.

Agree, it's just that they're everywhere around here which makes it easy to satisfy the urge on a whim.I haven't tried Smokey Bones, but I did try City BBQ and it was horrible. They trick you by having hickory stacked outside the restaurant, but the crap they served when I was there had never seen smoke. Totally flavorless crap.
Maybe... the next time I accidentally swallow poison and need to induce vomiting.Oh... well then... that changes everything.
Maybe we should organize an INGO run on McRib's.
I haven't been, but I've heard good things about BBQ Heaven. Also King Ribs. I think the best BBQ joints aren't going to be chain restaurants. They'll be the little hole-in-the-wall places in "the hood".Agree, it's just that they're everywhere around here which makes it easy to satisfy the urge on a whim.
I'm not impressed with smokey bones either. Tried The Rusty Silo in B-Burg too and wasn't impressed either.
I have been past that many times and it does smell good. May have to try it soon.I haven't been, but I've heard good things about BBQ Heaven. Also King Ribs. I think the best BBQ joints aren't going to be chain restaurants. They'll be the little hole-in-the-wall places in "the hood".

Is the place south of the speedway across from the indoor go cart track still there serving bbq?I'd rather just go to City BBQ or Smokey Bones for my ribs if it's not practical to smoke my own.
What other BBQ joints are the INGO favorites around Indy? I really miss G.T. South's at 71st & Binford since they went out of business due to not paying taxes for 10 years (the reason I heard they closed). They were hands down the best around the northside for years.
I think you’re referring to barbecue and bourbon. Yes they’re still there and it is pretty good. Never had their baby backs, but the brisket sandwich was pretty good.Is the place south of the speedway across from the indoor go cart track still there serving bbq?
Every time we have traveled to indy just to eat there the place was standing room only and we had to settle for franchise bbq.I think you’re referring to barbecue and bourbon. Yes they’re still there and it is pretty good. Never had their baby backs, but the brisket sandwich was pretty good.
Now your talking.Oh... well then... that changes everything.

Never had worse ribs than from there. So tough and chewy I couldn’t eat it.I haven't been, but I've heard good things about BBQ Heaven. Also King Ribs. I think the best BBQ joints aren't going to be chain restaurants. They'll be the little hole-in-the-wall places in "the hood".
Rusty Silo is in Lizton. Brownsburg has a Dicky's, but it's not even open. At least the Rusted Silo is open.Agree, it's just that they're everywhere around here which makes it easy to satisfy the urge on a whim.

Soon Ingo will love McRib
and pineapple on pizza
I guess I won't try it then! When I lived over in Eagledale back in the late 80's and early 90's we had a little place at 30th and Lafayette that we liked. But for the life of me I can't remember their name. They eventually moved down to around Kessler and Lafayette. Seems like the name began with a T.Never had worse ribs than from there. So tough and chewy I couldn’t eat it.
dont get me wrong. It tasted great. But Ive had less chewy jerky.I guess I won't try it then! Man, it's times like these that I miss Churchmouse. Bet he'd know.
Your taste in quality meats was in question when you blasphemed the McRib.I haven't tried Smokey Bones, but I did try City BBQ and it was horrible. Isn't that just pressed lips and buttholes,
do not blaspheme the McRibBack to the McRib- I worked on a farm, we had hogs, I hauled manure all Saturday. Sometimes I got splattered- in the face- mouth- ears. Ever taste hog ? McRib tastes the same.
