Howdy Lpherr. That does suck! But $500 for a battery? Ouch...When things go to hell, it all happens at once.
The rear bearing sounded so bad yesterday, that I won't drive the truck again until I fix it, so I drove the other truck today.
I got home and was going to start the Mrs. truck to let it run for a little bit, since it hasn't been driven, and the F*****ng battery is dead.
It is exactly 5 years old, so it's lived it's life, but come on. $800 for parts for one truck and another $500 for batteries for the other.
I really don't like to eat. I could stand to lose a pound or two.
My apologies for the BigRed moment.

What's an AGM battery?Hello DD.
It's technically two batteries, but they are both AGM batteries.

Never heard of that. How are they different from regular batteries? And why two for a truck?Absorbent Glass Mat
They are newer technology, that are supposed to be superior to cell batteries. Most newer cars have them, if they have a lot of electrical gadgets.Never heard of that. How are they different from regular batteries? And why two for a truck?
Hoping Susan gets feeling better real soon.I guess I won't be going to visit Susan today. Every time I've called, she's been asleep, or they're taking her vitals, or giving her a breathing treatment. Sounds like she's got plenty of "visitors".
Are they the ones that look like a 6-pack?They are newer technology, that are supposed to be superior to cell batteries. Most newer cars have them, if they have a lot of electrical gadgets.
The purpose of two is the main battery supplies the vehicle as normal, and the other is an auxiliary battery for the start/stop function.
Thanks, me too! Might be best that she's getting rest though, although it's interrupted rest from them checking her vitals about every 2 hours from what she's told me. She said the "pureed" food choices are pretty sucky. Guess they had something called "beef and gravy" last night and she said it looked like little pieces of meatloaf in gravy, but it had the consistency of canned dogfood.Hoping Susan gets feeling better real soon.
Sorry you can't see her. That would help her heal quicker.
Yuck! That sounds nasty. Thanks, me too! Might be best that she's getting rest though, although it's interrupted rest from them checking her vitals about every 2 hours from what she's told me.
