Monroe County Sheriff R. Lutz -1

Most MCSD officers are going to check your LTCH, run your weapon and then send you on your way. I wouldn't expect BPD to act any differently. There are going to be LEO in any department who are going to express their personal opinions during such an encounter. You don't even want to know...

The question as I understood it was about OC, not about "any" SOP's.

To answer a previous question.....no apparent written policy.

Let me see what I can find out.....it seems that getting them to put policies in writing has been somewhat problematic in the past. Will get back to this as soon as I can. Should know something by tomorrow.

Pershing is the Chief Deputy.....he is next in line after the Sheriff. There is no policy at the MCSD that directs anyone to try to make people CC.

      Baby Raccoon

There is a rescue in Bloomington called WildCare. Don't have the number off the top of my head and am feeling lazy but you should be able to Google them.

KG1, am in agreement with you. I fight this particular battle with LEO's that I know all the time and you would be amazed at how often those battles are really close to home. It is more than frustrating and I really hope that the Department acts on the complaint.

Haven't read this entire thread but thought I would offer this. I know Lutz. He is not a bad guy but not the best LEO. He is getting ready to leave the department. What he did was a Terry Stop but it is no excuse for not knowing that OC is legal. Sorry it happened and hope you get some...

Not lookin for sympathy only to vent

I lost a husband in 1995 who had been my high school sweetheart and the love of my life after a year long fight with cancer. We had both just turned 43. Grieve in whatever way and forever long you need to. When people tell you that you should be "over it" they don't know what they are...

Traffic stop, officer confiscated my firearms.

Going to guess that the outcome wasn't all that great.....

      Alzheimer’s -Confessions of a caretaker

Am in the same place with my 90 year old father. The stories I could tell.....The only thing that keeps me going is having a sense of humor about it. You are lucky to have other siblings that take up some of the responsibility. There are 5 of us and only my older brother and I do anything...

im looking for a digital camera

Check Adorama Camera on line. They have refurbished models that are excellent. I have used them for years and have never been disappointed. Trying out the different ones at a brick and mortar store is critical so you know what you like.

      HVAC recommendations for Bloomington/Bedford

I have used Commercial Service in Bloomington for almost 30 years. They have always been great.

      Ate my first giant puffball

Cut them in about 1 inch thick sections, did in egg and then sprinkle with parmesan cheese and roll in flour. Cook in hot oil until they are golden brown. Yummy.

      Gggggrrrrrrrrrrrr. TICKS

They have been really bad this year. I think it was due to the very wet weather followed by the heat and lack of rain. Hubby had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, we caught it real early and he is fine now. For those who end up with the red itchy welts from them try a little alcohol, don't drink...
