Similar function is enough for me. Striker-fired, no safety, but whether that's a Glock, Shield or Kahr I don't care.
OMG! Yes! My friend and I once saw some numbnutz shoot himself with a ricochet from an SKS he was firing on the pistol range. We'd been shooting pistols, but bailed as soon...
This is quite true, and it may be a big issue for an older person with physical weakness. I would very strongly recommend that you take her to a store to try them out before you buy anything, or you may end up with a bed that she literally cannot get out of or change positions in.
Really, this...
We all like to share good things here and I couldn't be more please by Dr Buzby's Toe Grips for senior or disabled dogs. (I am not affiliated with them, by the way.)
My 12-1/2 year old Golden Retriever has been sliding miserably on the new laminate floor. My younger dog has for the most...
I still use the Walmart boar brush every time I shave. Even though I have a badger, I like the boar better. You may have to buy the kit to get the brush though, depending on the individual Walmart.
Anybody have any advice to help dogs slipping on new laminate floors. Our 13yr old Golden, especially, is having a terrible time. He falls, and sometimes his legs splay out completely. It's affecting his quality of life really negatively, and I'm concerned he'll injure himself, so I have to...
IIRC, four tea lights provide about as much heat as a 75W lightbulb. But if you just light the candles, all that heat goes up to the ceiling in a thin column. The terracotta pots keep it down low and convert much of it to radiant energy so it's more useful for keeping people warm. They're not...
My friend uses that Big Buddy to heat his garage. Puts out a lot of heat, comparable to the big, round kerosene heaters. The blower is nice, but it runs on D-cell batteries so you'd want to keep some of those around. Instead of - or in addition to - the hose, you might consider one of these...
Sorry, that wasn't directed at your post; it just followed it. I was talking about the OP presumably using smokeless powder.
That has not been my experience at all. Sure there's more smoke than a cartridge rifle, but I think a lot of the increase can be explained by simply using 100gr of the...
Why try rifle or pistol smokeless powders when Blackhorn 209 is available? It's a nitrocellulose powder specifically made for muzzle loaders and can be volumetrically measured.
There's a big difference between bugging in and drawing on stores (of ammo) and traveling and scavenging ammo. If we're staying in we can use whatever we want. But if traveling, two pistols and a rifle can add up to significant weight so you'd have to be choosy.
In that situation, I'd take a...
