      Warne QD ring mounting question

      What rifle? The lower rings should be fine. You said 1/4" clearance at the objective lens, I assume. I like to mount scopes as close to the bore as possible. On an AR platform it is possible to get a scope to low. So low that your eye is difficult to align through the optic..

      700x powder consistency

      You have figured out 700X, pretty much just will not measure well. I have used it in .45 Auto. If I remember correctly, it is a bit dirty. But that may have been light loads only.

      PSA - if you have a push to start car

      Another question for push to start vehicles. If the battery under the hood is dead how can the transmission be shifted to neutral? Also, if the parking brake is an electrical switch, not a mechanical linkage, how can the brake be released when car battery dies?

      Hi-Point carbines

      heads up if you ordered from Brownells in last couple days

      A few years ago I placed an order with Brownells. A confirmation email I received did not reflect the price as advertised. I emailed them and the price was promptly corrected. Have continued to order items from them since, no issues.

      Palmetto State Armory is going to offer MP5 clones. So, Zenith is not the only maker of these. I think other companies are currently copying HK also.

      S&W 422 uses same magazines as model 41. I believe there are 12 round mags available, or there were at one time.

      Jaquas Fine Guns in Findlay Ohio

      Findlay is an easy drive from Fort Wayne. About 1.5 or 2 hours. Beside Jaquas, Buffalo Trading Company is only a mile or two to the east (a bit nicer gun shop).       Remington 700 woes

      Agree with avoiding Remington. I had a 700 that was recalled. It had X mark trigger. Never sent the gun in. I replaced the factory trigger with a Timney. https://www.timneytriggers.com/
