Alloy feed ramps
I'm looking at alloy frame 1911s and can find them with and without ramped barrels. Obviously a steel feed ramp is going to outlast an aluminum one, the question is will an aluminum one outlast me. Anyone ever wear out an alloy feed ramp, and if so how long did it take. Also, with what kind of... -
M&P .45 trigger job
An Apex hard sear took about 2 1/2 pounds off my trigger pull, some polishing on the FPB smoothed out the take up very nicely. I hated the trigger on my M&P 45 when I got it, i'm pretty happy with it now. -

Either Congress or the courts can over ride an Executive order, but untill they do it carrys the weight of law. So far Congress has yet to over rule even one of BOs EOs. There has been talk coming out of the administration that since Congress is appearing to be a dead end, gun control by EO is...- David

No, it just means that the United States is not bound by it. If the rest of the world is though, think about what that would mean for guns and ammo exported from or imported into this country. Both (it seems to me anyway) would be severely restricted. Without the approval of the O...- David

Double stack 1911?
There are almost always a few on Gunbroker, and the new models should be coming out in the next few months. I like my TCM, I also have a Rock Island double stack in .45 and there is a night and day difference in shooting the two. For a double stack 1911 in .45 I wouldn't have any problem... -
Kahr CM9 vs Sig P938
I almost bought a 938 but changed my mind. Sounds like Sig rushed it to market without working all the bugs out first, way too many reports of problems, some even after multiple trips back to Sig. I really like the gun and if they ever get it straightened out I will probably get one, but for now...
