      Looks like one of the benches on the Sycamore Loop. Those pine-stands are nice, but burning pine in the cold sucks. Those logs burn up like cotton.

      Wasn't there supposed to be a portion of Defense budget due to get cut in this whole fiscal cliff talk? Wasn't this the reason that the Honeywell CEO was so intent on putting himself in the middle of the cliff negotiations?

      I talked to my wife about this, although she doesn't carry. Schools should have at least some minimum amount of protection. They rely almost solely on the "hide" the kids scenario, which is fine. I would think that they could easily allow teachers to carry "blinding" flashlights at a minimum to...

      This is funny, because I say the same thing about the "other" side as well. Except, I tend not to think of the leaders as intellectuals, but simply manipulators.

      Bark River Knives, or One of the Best Kept Secrets.

      I had an Aurora that was a really nice blade, convex, super-sharp. The tip was a little thin, though. It wound up getting pretty banged up, but it was easy enough to convert to a drop-type point.
