      I was getting consistent 2" groups from 50 yards shooting wolf ammo. Not bad considering its still just a pistol.

      I would be willing to bet it was your ammo. I've never had an issue with tapco mags in my norinco UNLESS I was shooting HP rounds. For some reason SKSs hate hollowpoints.

      Under heavy use, you are probably right about it being 50/50 in a year. But from the sounds of it, it will be under extremely light use. Hopefully he will find something that fits both his budget and his expectations.
