      Mid-Priced 1911 w/ Rails?

I'm hearing great things about the Taurus PT1911 - and the prices are very reasonable too.

      Ever drop a gun...in a gun store?

Why would it "go off", which I'm assume you mean fire a round? It was UNloaded?!?

      Ever drop a gun...in a gun store?

Just as embarrassing is the time I was at the range on a Saturday morning. Pulled my Glock 22 from a new holster I was trying..........and the holster came up with the gun! I don't use that holster anymore.

      My wife and gun purchases....

My wife has only shot a couple of times. It doesn't thrill her, but she knows how to shoot and knows not to be scared of our guns. She honestly doesn't know how much I've spent on goodies over the years, but I have never given her a hard time about anything she buys. I guess we have an...

How many guns do you have?

I used to own guns, but then Obama and Pelosi convinced me that guns are bad, Bad, BAD I tell you! I had all of mine melted down into a fancy piece of metal and sold it at the junkyard downtown for about $1.63. I donated all of my ammo to the Salvation Army, only to find out that although they...

      Boyfriend OCing at Wal Mart

Wow, you beat me to it! Using hillbilly English ("we was" and "we wasn't") sounds like someone should have spent a little more time studying English rather than shopping at Wal-Mart.

      Handcuffs

Handcuffing someone, without the proper training, can be difficult and intimidating. Now, if the person is rendered unconscious, that's another story. But you would need to be absolutely sure they are unconscious. As a former LEO, I can tell you that it is possible to handcuff someone while...

S&W 66-2 with Marion County Sheriff Stamp

Many years ago I saw a Marion County deputy with a similar gun with wood grips. In the butt of the gun was a smaller replica sheriff's badge, which looked really sharp. I think $350 would be a fair (maximum) price. Let us know how it works out.

      Opinions on Taurus Pt-92

The Taurus PT92 was my first semi purchased in the mid 90's and I still have it. I honestly don't shoot it much anymore since I have so many other options. But I never had one problem with it and maintained/cleaned it regularly. Very solid (and heavy) gun. But since it's about the size of a...

      Glock 37

Yeah, you see the Glock in 45 GAP all over the place and they're nearly giving them away. The prices are very fair. If you're handloading go for it. I personally haven't seen a lot of 45 GAP on the market, compared to the ability to find 9mm, 45 acp, 40, etc, etc.

Looking to get a new .22 revolver, options?

I have a Taurus 94 (2nd owner) and was confident in purchasing it, as I have a few Taurus handguns. In fact, as a teenager my first handgun was a Taurus 357. With that said, I really can't stand the trigger on the Taurus 94. I wish I had done some more research and bought a S&W.
