What is the secret to pocket carry?

I have a pocket holster with a thick piece of leather on the external face that makes my lcp look like a wallet in every pair of pants I own. So the holster leather is stitched to the thick leather piece. These holsters don't last forever as the leather softens over time ( years). They are cheap...

      1911 Gunsmith education. Interested?

AllenM’s 1911 trigger work class is a worthwhile class at a very reasonable cost. If you were on the fence about taking one of his first offerings, find the time and money and go; you will not be disappointed. Allen is an excellent teacher and coach. He takes the time to let you learn the skills...

      Left handed girlfriend

This is a very legitimate point. There are alot of ambi friendly pistols. The Beretta she trained on has an ambi safety and changeable mag release. The XD series of pistols are very ambi friendly. There are 1911 platforms that are ambi friendly. I cannot speak to the Glock platform but perhaps...

I have Guy's business card next to my LTCH

      Ruger LCP...laser or not

My opinion is, as long as you are not totally dependent on the laser it won't hurt and may make you more confident. At close range it is not much of an advantage.

      Left handed girlfriend

Ah, depending how she was taught I can see the potential issue...as I am retired mil myself. She now has the freedom to adapt her stance to meet her needs. I have never found a semi auto that fires the way you suggest...am watching to see what you find on that topic. Revolver is an option, but I...

      Left handed girlfriend

Hi there, I too am a left handed shooter, and really have no issue with hot brass to the face. I would suggest trying something she likes to see if hot brass is actually going to be an issue; in my experience it is not. YMMV good luck.

What did you get at the Jan 2014 Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show?

A versatile holster for some of my dressier outfits are the Remora holsters for iwb as they do not depend on a belt. There were many other belt dependent options at the show in both leather and kydex to choose from. There were also handbags and the like.
