      thanks for the replies, it is just a bare action that i picked up. somebody had already done a lot of work to it and done a good job with that. its been surface ground, the trigger guard has been narrowed and converted to an inside the bow floorplate release. it also came with a model 7o style...

      anybody ever mess around with one of these things? I recently picked one up and am thinking 45-70 or .460 . The .460 would be kinda cool because it would also eat .454 casull and .45 long colt. in theory. k

      Mosin trigger pin

      did you try numrich? the last one i scrounged was one that i made out of a hs steel drill bit as the mounting holes were damaged. fit way better than the original and cost like a buck. k

      dont forget that the big problem is the difference in BCs. the heavier bullets will have higher BCs and therefore drop less at a given distance. If you have a reloading manual such as Hornady's that has tables of bullet drop at given distances, then you can attempt to come up with a load that is...

      Come on, you just can't beat the look of a Cowboy Assault Rifle! I picked up a J.C. Higgins (Marlin) 30-30 off of GunsAmerica for $225 that I have thought about turning into a CAR but have not had the heart to cut the barrel. Even in it's standard configuration, it feels really good in my hands...

      whats wrong with a 200$ mauser or enfield? do you want fast or controlled fire? For that matter how about a Garand?
