How do you break in a new holster?

OK, so I'm going with the freezer bag method and no oil. Thanks for the great info. And of course wearing and using it.

How do you break in a new holster?

Thanks for the suggestions. The gun is a S&W Governor. The holster is specially made for this model, so it is already molded to fit pretty well just tight. This revolver is a bit big to carry all the time, so the "wearing it in" method may take a while. I think I will try the sock then oil it...

Someone told me to soak the holster in saltwater then put the gun in while holster is still damp. I have no intention of exposing my new gun to saltwater. Any suggestions on...

      Scenario: What would you do?

I might go out and come in the other door behind him. Too many variables to know for sure. Then again, I might just run.

      Metal Detecting

I metal detect. I'm in Bloomington. If there is enough interest maybe we could set up a group hunt. When were you thinking of going to your park? There are a couple places here in Bloomington I'd like to hit. It would be nice to have a hunt buddy.

      New Restraunt in Bloomington

I tried that new restraurant on the west side called Cheddar's today. It was great. Good food, good variety, good service and nice atmosphere. Most meals are under $10. I'll be going back.
