Technically, yes, they are "controlled" insofar as you can't get it without a prescription, but not "Controlled" like, say, opiate pain killers. And giving it to a diabetic is a bad idea. **** SOLD **** For Sale: Mossberg Silver Reserve 12G O/U shotgun. I've had this for a few years, used for trap/skeet/sporting clays. I've run about 200 shells through it, no flaws in function at all. It's a 28 inch barrel, bead front sight, and I only have the IC choke in both barrels...- Reno316
