EMP didn't / doesn't come in .45. I had the 9mm.
Recoil on the EMP was stout, but not at all unmanageable due to the ergonomics of the pistol. It was more of a straight-up recoil from the muzzle than anything. I don't have any experience with that same-size .45 pistol to compare with, however. My former one had a LIGHT trigger. Caused some unintentional doubles on my part, actually... If you find one for sale, be on the safe side and stay away from early production (serial #s are in order...mine was 3-digit).
