Thanks guys! I got to see a CZ P-07 today but I wasn't very keen on it. The guy really wanted me to buy one but and I have to say it's nice and light but it's too much like my Steyr and that squared-off trigger guard throws me off....it just makes me want to club someone with it.
PCR D or...
Hey all,
Looking at getting a 9mm - either a CZ75 P01 or PCR D (preferably PCR). Can anyone verify the width of the pistol? The specs I've seen say 1.4 inches and I was a little alarmed at that - that's awfully wide! Does that include the safety or decock levers? My Steyr's wide enough at...
Was bummed out to miss it. Was about to leave the house to head out when it started raining heavily. Sat down, hoping to wait it out, and I dozed off. Woke up at 3:50pm. :(
Well, back from the gun show. She didn't like the Sig238, like the PPK and Bersa Thunder equally and was willing to start with the Thunder until she realized she didn't like the tight fit of the slide. We also looked at a S&W Bodyguard. After a little more she picked up a Walther PK380 and it...
Not a dumb question, and that's why I was looking for alternative suggestions. There'll be someone at the show with a PPK, so we can try out the grips to see what she's comfortable with. From there we'll also look at others to see how the grips are, then we'll borrow/rent one and see how she...
Yeah well she's really excited about the prospects of getting one. Hopefully the ergonomics will work out for her (then again I hear it works out for most people)
OK, I didn't know about the 238 needed to be cocked and ready. Sounds like the PPK will make a fine investment and a big hole in my wallet. Aw heck, she bought me a Sig522 for my birthday, she can have a PPK. Thanks for the pointers (both on the gun and Grape-Nuts!)
A few weeks ago, in an Indianapolis subdivision far, far away.....
SPOUSAL GUN DECISION WARS
I was eating Grape-Nuts and watching Futurama.....and then she showed up to ask about the Walther.
The End.
....and goes, "OK, I've decided what pistol I'd like to get."
And I go, "alright then, what do you want?"
And she goes, "A Walther PPK."
And I'm like, "damn, you have expensive tastes."
So anyway while I was preferring that she get something 9mm, a .380 will still hurt like hell and can be...
I don't own a Glock, but I've had similar issues with my Steyr M40A1 with light strikes. In my case I've noticed that the slide did not go all the way forward, so when the firing pin strikes, it doesn't go far enough to set the primer off, but leaves a dent instead. I've narrowed down the...
