      Tried a sub compact today

      A HK P2000sk is a nice smaller frame if you're looking for something smaller than the USPc. I have both for their smaller frame sizes. The USPc is "normal" carry, the sk is for those situations where less printing might be a requirement. Even if the P2000sk is in 40SW you can shoot it all day...

      Sleeping pads

      Have used a Thermarest ProLite. While its better than a foam roll-up pad, it's not very comfortable for me as a side sleeper. However, I've been looking at these Exped mats and seriously leaning to the DownMat's.

      REI opening in Castleton

      Have shopped at REI for about 2-3 years (when one was close). The store selections are usually pretty decent and the store personnel are very helpful with answering questions on products, etc. I always like this place better than the Gander Mtn, Dicks, etc type of "sporting goods" stores...
