      store that carries rock island 1911s

      anyone know of a central indiana located gun shop that carries rock island in stock? i'm specifically looking for the 3.5" compact, but don't want to buy one without holding it.

      front sight replacement on SA 1911 milspec

      Is this even a possible endeavor, or should I give up thinking about it? The front sight is not dovetailed...so I know that it isn't going to be "easy". Is it even possible to remove the darn thing?
