I've got one and really like it, it's very comfortable over an extended hunt, the front arm rest is great for taking a steady shot with either my crossbow or rifle. I would bet you'd be real happy with it, $200 is a very good price, I paid $275 for mine.
I've had one for a few years and have just now gotten around to shooting it. Just recently put a PA Micro with a LaRue LT751 mount on it and am very happy so far, it provides a lower third cowitness with the irons. I don't find the sight picture distracting at all.
ETA: I put a small piece...
I've taken deer with WWB 240 gr jsp and Federal Am Eagle 240 gr jhp, both worked well but, Federal's jhp consistently threw better blood trails than the WWB jsp (the jsp left almost no blood trail at all).
How awful. I was just hunting with two friends this weekend in a small woods, we had split up as well, the thought of getting shot in that fahion does creep into one's mind during the day. I always keep my shots limited at up into the trees for that reason, it cannot be stressed enough to KNOW...
That is outstanding news about the auto knife amendment, is there anyone we can call at the capitol to urge this bill be brought up for a vote. It would really suck to just let it die with this session.
Also, the LE ammo will very likely use a low flash powder for low light shooting. This isn't always a guarantee with" civilian" available ammunition. Personal experience with Winchester Ranger T's and Fiocchi FMJ's at dusk, the Winchester was a very dim orange flash while the Fiocchi was a...
I also had some problems igniting pellets out of a T/C White Mountain Carbine with #11 caps, I just dumped about 3 grains or so of loose Pyrodex down the barrel prior to dropping in the pellets, it worked perfectly. I did however purchase a musket cap nipple from T/C which I haven't got to try...
As long as it's reliable I don't think I'd worry about sending it back (reliability trumps any quirks AFAIC). I've got ak mags and mags for my PTR rifle that have plenty of side to side play and yet they all function flawlessly.
Awesome, keep workin on the pics. I'm trying to get the job done this year with my 77/44, have been very tempted to buy one of those 77/357's to keep it company.
I've experimented with several factory loads in my Ruger 77/44 (although it's a 20 twist barrel). It shot very well with Winchester white box, PMC 180g jhp, Federal American Eagle 240 gr jhp, and Magtech 240gr jsp. Maybe give one of these a shot and see how they do, good luck!

I've got a few that I really had to whack the front sight before it would budge (almost to the point of using a 20oz. hammer). Some move easy some don't. You could always send about 20 rounds rapid fire down range if you don't already have a device to heat the barrel up with :D
On another gun forum someone supposedly in the know is saying that some Yugo x25 should be hitting the market in a month or two but, i've heard this same tale about several other supposed imports in the past and am not putting much faith in it. And if it actually does come in i'm betting it...
I have an LT-129 for my Trijicon Tri-Power, it's a great solid mount! I originally bought an ARMS mount for it which worked good as well but, when LaRue was having his ARMS mount smashing contest due to the BS lawsuit that ARMS filed against him I took a hammer to it and sent it to him, he then...
