Anybody own a Ruger LCP or a Sig 232 it's down to these 2

I own a P230SL, outstanding pistol in all respects. Some would argue the European mag release at the bottom of the grip is a detriment, not bad once you get used to it. I don't believe the Ruger LCP was intended as a primary defense pistol. For my money I'd go with the Bersa .380. Its as good...

      BG in your house

I'm sure that no person wants to kill anyone. However stopping a BG from doing a bad thing requires performing to you level of training and skill with a firearm. Performing to you level of training and skill, stopping the BG, most often results in the death of the BG. I would say that anyone not...

      This helicopter pilot is good!

That's typical military helicopter pilot training. The pilot isn't doing that by himself. It takes the crew chief in the back guiding him in and relaying instructions to the pilot over the intercom. "Thirty feet to go, left 6 feet, down 10 feet, back five feet, right three feet, down two...

Who here has a Glock 19?

I've had one for close to three years. The G19 seems to be my go to carry pistol. Not that it is better than my Sig's, it just brings together many qualities that make it darn near the perfect pistol to carry.

      Glock vs. Sig

I don't think there is much to debate. They're both excellent pistols, each with their pros and cons. I have Sigs and Glocks and I like them both equally. Picking one over the other is personal preferance. Nothing wrong with that!

      P239 Holster Recommendations

I use a CompTac paddle for my P239, most other pistols too. Easy on and off, and really secure. And with a good belt it holds in nice and tight next to the body.

Is your carry gun tested and reliable?

Absolutly! I think 250 to 300 rounds through a carry weapon is necessary to prove it reliable. I also believe a portion of range time should be spent practicing with the chosen carry ammo. I rotate out my carry ammo every six months and set aside ammo I've carried for this practice. Funny thing...

      What is your carry ammo?

G19 has the best accuracy with Gold Dot 124+p P228 is a toss up with Golden Saber 124+p, or Gold Dot 124+p P239 9mm shoots best with Golden Saber 124+p P239 .40 is loaded with Golden Saber 165gr And on rare occasions when I carry a P230, CorBon 90gr is my choice.

Looking for a new handgun (9mm)

I love my Sig's, but I always go to my G19 for carry. The G19 does so many things well. There are many quality 9MM pistols out there. Find one you're comfortable with and practice!

      Bersa Thunder .380

I have a friend who has three Bersa .380's. I'm always impressed when I have a chance to soot one of them. Rock solid, digest any ammo, and you can't beat the price!

      What handgun do you carry?

For the past two years I've found my G19 or G26 perfect for carry, and I alternate between them. Occasionaly I'll carry a Sig P239 .40.

      Compensated Glocks

I have a G19c. I don't notice a huge recoil reduction, but I'm not usually recoil sensitive. A non ported G19 is pretty soft shooting anyway. I've found the so called, "blinding flash," during night firing to be a non issue, at least for me.
