      I have a Savage MII in 17M2 topped with a BSA 17 MachII scope. I absolutely love shooting this gun. On squirrels it is a head or low chest shot.       I was told that the philosophy is that not everyone will lay out the $$$ and trouble to build the exotic gun. Only a few that have some shooting sense. But if you open it up then every idiot will be slinging high powered bullets in every direction.

      H&R extractor/ejector question

      Is there a way to make a gun with the extractor into an ejector? While hunting I can't get ahold of the shell with my gloves. If I can convert my gun to an ejector I can get a shot at the second deer. This has cost me a second deer several times.

      I've read the 357max site many time. My handi rifle is in 357 max now. I just not sure if the 18.75 twist is enough. Like most, I always want more. 2600 fps from a 180-200 gr bullet might suite me a little better. I still need to play with the 180s.

      I have a 357 max. It is a rechambered 357 mag handi rifle. I haven't had a chance to shoot the 180 SSP bullets. I have killed 10 deer using the 200gr FTX. Ranges from 25 yds to 244 yds.       Just thinking aloud here (actually in type). Has anyone tried necking down the 500 Smith to 357? Just curious as to what kind of velocities could be attained compared to .357 max and 35 Rem.

      Kinda figured there might be better starting points. I already have the 112 in .223. My other option is to have an upper built for my spare AR15 lower. I knoe of Dtech, is there any others building them for AR15s?

      Can a Savage 112 in .223 rem be rebarreled and converted to the 358 wssm ( or same cartridge called by another name)? Id like to get one built for next year.
