      H&R extractor/ejector question

      Is there a way to make a gun with the extractor into an ejector? While hunting I can't get ahold of the shell with my gloves. If I can convert my gun to an ejector I can get a shot at the second deer. This has cost me a second deer several times.

      357 wildcat

      Just thinking aloud here (actually in type). Has anyone tried necking down the 500 Smith to 357? Just curious as to what kind of velocities could be attained compared to .357 max and 35 Rem.
