      Air rifle for squirrels

My old RWS Diana M48 side-cocker springer .22 has got us a LOT of dinners over the years. Squirrels and cottontails taken cleanly out to 40+ yards. Only downsides are weight (about 8# with scope) and a pretty stout cocking effort. Accuracy is stellar and build quality 1st rate.

Potential Senate Agreement on New Gun Law

Might want to check again. Todd Young just stuck his knife into our backs.

      S&W 3rd Gen Semi Autos

Only have these three S&Ws presently: 625-4 (Trausch grips); 4586 LEA trade-in from Idaho; 640-1 .357. The 4586 is the easiest DAO semiauto to learn to shoot well with that I've ever owned. Accurate, ultra-reliable and built like a bank vault. Wouldn't swap it for diamonds

Your Favorite cheap Handgun that everyone else thinks is Junk and makes fun of.

This one. My old EAA Witness that I bought for $225 LNIB at Bradi's about 30 years ago. Over 7K rds. now and still hits right on POA and remains as dead-nuts reliable as gravity. NO malfs with any brand or weight of factory ammo I've used and only three with some crappy gun show reloads. Only...

      Marlin 1895

I have a very early production 1895G with the ported barrel that I purchased NIB at an Indy 1500 show for $450.00, OTD. Times surely have changed, eh? FWIW, I actually prefer it to my '60's vintage 336 in .35 Remington. Using Federal 300 gr. JHPs at approx. 1700 f/s the 95G gives my ancient...

      Plastic Gun Show-N-Tell

My current line-up of drastic plastic. I'm a relatively recent convert to the concept but coming to appreciate the advantages more on a near-daily basis. Clockwise from top: Springfield XD45 Mod.2 , 5"; CZ P10 F with Hogue Beavertail Hand All grip sleeve; Kel-Tec P32 with Hand All; Taurus G2c...

      Mini-30

I've had my stainless 189 series Mini 30 for over twenty years now. Had the occasional misfire with Chinese/Russian steel cased ammo (which I bought by the 1/4 pallet back when it was dirt-cheap) at first. Swapped the hammer spring for an extra power Wolff unit and haven't had any since. Am in...

      Pocket Gun Show -N- Tell

My old Kel-Tech P32 "always"/back-up and current EDC Taurus G2c.

      Handgun Show-N-Tell

My new favorite full-sized 9x19. CZ P10F in FDE. 19+1 capacity, and factory tritiums. Added the Hogue Handall Beavertail grip sleeve because it helps keep my arthritic fingers from 'locking-up' when applying maximum gripping force.

WTB: Ambi thumb safety for "small frame" EAA Witness

BTT. Still a tiny ray of hope left.

Bump, still hoping for the best.

WTB: Ambi thumb safety for "small frame" EAA Witness

Probably in vain, but looking to buy a complete ambidextrous thumb safety in decent working shape for an old, all steel full-sized EAA Witness 9x19. Located in Lebanon, IN. Have cash and/or lots of items to trade if you'd prefer. Thanks for looking!

      Barrel Lead remover

I've had and used Lewis Lead Remover sets in .38/.357, .44 and .45 calibers for several decades. There are two 'drawbacks': One is that replacement brass screens can sometimes be hard to find. One can improvise, but ordering and purchasing them in relatively large quantity is much less of a...

      Smith 4566 problems.

It's admittedly been several years since I got my mag springs and followers, but I ordered them from Brownell's. They'd be the first place I'd check with if I were you. The next would be Numrich/The Gun Parts Corp. For springs, there's always Wolff. If you can't readily locate a source for...

      Smith 4566 problems.

I had a very similar problem with the two mags which I got with my Idaho LEA trade-in 3rd gen. 4586. Ordered replacement mag springs and followers (black plastic, btw) and the issue(s) went away. Personally, if I could get metal replacement followers to try and they functioned reliably, I'd...

      Winchester 62 A .22 Cal replacement

Sorry to say it, but I don't believe that anyone does anymore. Not since Rossi/Taurus discontinued their M62 series of copies a couple of years back, anyway. On the brighter side, Rossi made about a gazillion of them and they're pretty common in the used market. As for getting a NIB...

Is It Legal To Use This Ammo?

mrjarrell, I'm also a big fan of Nyclads going all the way back to when S&W first introduced the standard pressure 125 gr. version as their "Chief's Special" load. A good many years back, when Federal was discontinuing the line and a couple of the big jobbers were closing their remaining stocks...

Need Some Help Finding a Local Pro to Help Me Finish an Old Project

remauto1187: Actually, what I need to do is raise the front sight to lower the POI. If I'm already hitting 6.5" high with the rear at its lowest setting, then raising the rear sight will only make things worse. "Face-palm" right back atcha. AllenM: As closely as I can measure it with an...

Need Some Help Finding a Local Pro to Help Me Finish an Old Project

Years ago, I picked up a nearly new Norinco ATD .22 with a broken extractor 'finger' for a short song ($35). The seller attributed the break to it being "Chinese junk", but disassembly showed that he'd failed to clean the gunk from underneath it properly which caused it to stop pivoting as it...
