/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ THIS!!! Pay for quality. After buying a real made-for-guns-gun-belt I will **NEVER** use a cheapy 'decorative' belt to hang my gun from again. There is a world of difference, especially regarding retention and keeping my gun close to my body. Also, comfort is better when the...
Consider Looper Law Enforcement ... I like these belts (I have 3) is that they have a strip of kydex built into them. If you look through the belt keeper holes, you can actually see the kydex strip. They are comfortable and durable. Looper Reinforced Holster Belt
The only thing is that when I...
Also, @ XtremeVel, I'm thinking since the Lyman manual gives 0.2 gr more at the upper range for the SR-4756 (Hodgdon max = 6.8 gr, Lyman max = 7.0 gr) if I want more 'umph' to my rounds to make them more like a defensive round I can bump up to 7.0 gr.....
I'm really hoping the 3.3 - 3.4 gr of...
no chance to make the call yet....been stuck working second shift and spent all morning making hand loads! :) Hoping to make it to the range tomorrow to try those out. I'm still targeting saturday Flashpuppy.... :D
XtremeVel, great suggestion on calling into Hodgdon's. I spoke to a guy there named Mike....he was basically saying that the powder probably won't work in my gun. I'm going to try the powder at 3.3 and 3.4 gr (the max and +0.1 gr beyond max). If it doesn't run in my gun, Mike suggested that I...
using 230 gr RN plated (xtreme brand)
I was using the load data from hodgdon website. Not confused with titegroup--I would have bought that if I could find it. I bought the titewad based on the recommendation of the seasoned reloadeders at the range where I shoot. They said good things about it...
SO, given the powder shortage and not being able to find my favorite, reliable Bullseye, I picked up some Titewad. (The old timers that shoot at my local range sing songs about this stuff, clean burning blah blah blah....) So, they have been reloading since longer than I am alive so I trustd...
Anyone with a Glock 20 run it with a compensator or counterweight? I'm curious as to how much I might be interested in that....they seem cheap, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use this gun for any kind of competition or not (ammo is too expensive right now cos I"m not into reloading yet).
Rocket, your local range may have some sorted brass they might be willing to sell you by the lbs. If not, I've seen brass sellers at gun shows....check there for used brass.
I bought myself a pair of Radians electronic muffs. They ran about $80--a pretty good price for a gift. I like them and they can be adjusted to fit tightly on my head. They do sound a bit electronic but I wasn't willing to pay $150 or more for better sound quality.
HOLY MOLY!! Great ammo prices....do tell do tell.....
I'm not sure where you'll be able to get a G20 out the door for $400 new. This was sort of an insider purchase at my LGS--and for the record, legally transferred!! (I'm PMing you the name.) They have great deals on used guns. This one came...
Ok, folks, so I broke down and did it.....I bought a Glock....a 20 (the 10 MM for you non-glock types).
I still hate glocks, for the record!! :):
I will still religiously carry my Springfields and Sigs!! But, I've been wanting to add a 10 mm to my collection and couldn't pass on the deal I...
I've just recently had the opportunity to shoot the XDS and I LOVE it....as a tall, skinny female, I can tell you that outfit, belt and holster combos will allow you to conceal just about anything... so find the gun that fits your hands.
Stopping power really depends on shot placement...
Oh, and my $0.02 on ankle carry is that it is effective in a car (it seems like it would be easier to reach). But drawing is slow....if that's how you want to carry, that's your choice. But I personally have to stay away from it. If you are on the fence how you want to carry your BUG, buy a...
So admittedly, after reading a few pages of flaming and male posturing, I skipped to the last page. I do carry either a P238 (.380) or a KelTec P-11 (9mm) as my BUGs. There are sometimes where I cannot carry a BUG, though. +1 to whomever said carry a blade, too. I always carry at least a knife...
My new Glock 20 .... I rushed a bit that's why I have a group low and to the left. But all in all, not bad for my first time shooting a 10mm...
I still hate glocks though!! lol! I am a Springfield lady at heart.....
