      Bushmaster carbon 556 with scope

      I went to Cabelas in Hammond today and the price is $699. Is this gun worth it? Anyone know anything about? I went to the Bushmaster site and it says NEW, I think it is a superlight. Any information will be appreciated. I plan on using it for plinking and light duty,:dunno:

      Remington 700 XTR

      I've been looking at this rifle at Cabelas in Hammond. It is used. It has iron sights, and is blued. Not sure of year of production. Does anyone have info on this gun. Also it is 30-06. Made around 1978.

      Stainless finish

      Long story, short version. I had new sights put on my Colt 1911 and the supposed gunsmith scratched the poop out of it. other than polishing, is there any finish that will hold up on stainless. I'm thinking of going to a blue or black finish on the slide.
