.357 mag or .44 mag That is the question...

I was always a 44 guy but the older I get the better I like the 357. It's a excellent, flat shooting varmint round.

      What Did You Carry Today

Today like most the Ruger LCP, factory pocket holster in strong side hip pocket.

Once I sold the Ruger SBH I didn't need gloves.

      I want a new .22 rifle

Saw the Ruger Precision rimfire for the 1st time yesterday. They handed it to me with instructions to play with it including the trigger. I was impressed with the smooth action & excellent trigger. Personally they do nothing for me as I love blue/walnut. I figured the rifle would be cheap/junkie...

      Who's ready for $.02 a round .22LR?

Yes getting it to your door for 4 cents is a problem but I think it is coming.

      Who's ready for $.02 a round .22LR?

Don't think we will ever see 2 cents but maybe 4.

      MP Rifle

Did you have to say that, I was thinking a bolt gun.:): Your choice is a fine one though & all you say is true. Guess I'm really looking for a trainer more than anything else. Surely would like a tackdriver, a fairly flat shooter & not much recoil. Maybe something like a 6BR. Should I use it...

      MP Rifle

If you could build a multi-purpose rifle what would it be? I’ve been studying the Anschutz 64 MPR below & hear talk on the web of people using them for this & that so I’m wondering about the same type rifle only center fire. Anschutz 64 MPR - Google Search Perhaps something to use off the...

      M2 Ball

I read about M2 Ball loads years ago but its been awhile. Seem I read about 2 inch groups are about the norm. Perhaps someone else will jump in here.

      M2 Ball

Next up a fired the 168 grain HPBT bullets which aren’t much good either but they were cheap. I use these for practice & plinking. I found the load in the fourth printing of a 1967 Pacific Rifle/Pistol Cartridge Reloading Manual. These are 5 shot groups at 100 yards. The Load. First 5...

      M2 Ball

Went to the range Tuesday to fire the loads. It was a great day, not too hot maybe 78. I fired 5 shot groups. These bullets aren’t much & I was hoping to obtain 2 inch 5 shot groups. I chose this powder charge wanting something around 2700 FPS. Anyway the results are below. The range. The...

      +1, great bullets.

      38 wadcutter.

I'm not sure they are a better choice. I really like the swaged HBWC but since I have all that is needed to cast I make my own. The double end WC with the single, centered lube groove is a fine bullet but I became the owner of a H&G 6 cavity #50 mould in a pile of loading stuff the LGS offered...

I love WC bullets. They do great on targets & small game. I stopped using the DEWC & replaced it with the classic button nose.
