Vickers MGs & Enfields & PIATS found while building School

I was digging in my back yard and found weapons even older than Roman arrows . . . unfortunately, my wife said they were something called 'rocks'. :):

      go or no go

I am trying something new this time -- taking my wife for the first time, then doing dinner. She has heard me talk about the 1500 for years, and wants to see the 'show'. Who knows, maybe I can talk her into letting me buy her something . . . you know, for her . . . really! Not for me, honest . . .

      Linden or Wildcat valley?

Been to both. Good people at both places. More shooting options at WV, but fishing and such at Linden. As mentioned above, competitions and high power rifle available at WV. I currently belong to WV and like it very much.

Retail establishments that don't allow firearms?

DANG -- not Portillo's -- really?! That just ruins my day -- guess I'll have to find a different place to eat when I'm up in that neck of the woods. :(

Any one else a Late Bloomer

Yep -- late bloomer here. Did some shotguns with Dad when I was a kid (pheasant & quail in Illinois) but nothing more. A few years ago, when I was pushing 50, a guy at work got me interested. Talked it over with the wife and thought we could make it a hobby together, but she didn't take the bait...

      Paracord - Why?

Yeah, well if you tie the paracord to the end of the tail, you get more momentum, increasing the centrifugal force . . . :D

Hi Point 9mm Carbine, your thoughts

I have one and enjoy it. It is not anything close to a 'Cadillac', but they are fun to shoot, inexpensive, and mine never fails to fire. It also seems to be accurate, as others have said here. My old eyes seem to have no trouble shooting out to 75 yards with it without any problem. I would say...

Any point in starting to reload now?

Boy, I hope so -- getting tired of scrambling for reloading components!

      HOLY SHEEP!!!

I expected the small pistol primer shortage, and stocked for it. The 209 (shotshell) crunch caught me by surprise, though! Hope it settles down soon!

      Rossi 92 lever action

Looks a lot like mine, except I have darker wood. Mine is a mid-90's Interarms, pre safety. I enjoy shooting it -- have fun!
