Went for a bike ride in Shelbyville
Got bored,... went for a bike ride and to have a smoke. Man, it was cold.
I had to wear socks with my sandals. Shelbyville drivers are maniacs.
On the range, I got to thinking about the skills involved for hitting the target. Here are some thoughts for y'all to bat around,... or beat to a pulp. Maybe this will help someone decide to train and practice more? :dunno:
The act of pointing the gun and eying down the sights is only the...

The conversation is pretty bad... the perception discussed is almost unbelievable.
Might be an interesting book, though.
Thoughts?
I own (and carry) a BG380. My serial# starts with EAK....
I had about 400 rounds through it with absolutely no issues. Then one day at the range not too long ago, the slide caught on the screw that secures laser housing. The screw had backed itself out and the slide was stuck on it, not...
tucker: Thanks for the post!
To tucker,
I have to admit, when I first saw that someone posted a reply on a topic/incident from months ago, my initial thought was, "oh geez, another newbie is trying to get their 50 posts in, and they have resurrected an ancient post in the process."
Granted, I...
For those of you "online training fanatics"...
EXHIBIT A: How NOT to grip a gun
If she pulls the trigger on that thing, she'll spend the next 6 months having it surgically removed from her face.
Looking specifically at this situation, with no statistics, no interviews with criminals, no personal experience,... just applying logic based on observation... it's my opinion that this guy had a better chance to be alive today if he had CC'd instead of OC'd that day.
In my best Forrest Gump...
Wow... watching the video (almost 7 minutes)... this guys shares WAY too much about the situation, his family, the weapons he owns, etc.
I'm thinking someone is going to go back for their pride that was left on the doorstep after their gun was taken. I wouldn't be surprised if the BG (or BGs)...
Excellent Job! :rockwoot:
That's the first time I have seen the pressure switch for the light mounted on the fore-end. It seems like you could accidentally turn the light on/off with every pump just by gripping it. Is that something that you've had to worry about or adjust to?
I REALLY like...
C'mon ya'll... this is pure satire to make the point that by simply enforcing the law, cops are harassing "the innocent"... as seen from "violator's" point of view.
This in no way condones the "Canton Ohio Harless-method" of enforcing the law.
I think we all understand that TRUE harassment...
NYPD Sgt. Saves Own Life By Jamming Finger Into Trigger Of Felon's Gun | Fox News
I haven't seen this posted anywhere... hopefully not a dupe thread.
Whether it was a lucky placement of his finger, or intentional, it was a life-saving self-defense move. Broke his finger!
I hope this BG...
Agreeing that this situation is handled wrong on many levels... I also can't seem to get past this ^^
What the heck is that? How can "the staff" (assuming this is the clinic staff) require someone to go "all the way home" before reentering their premises? I think I would have left the gun...
I agree here^^... I was thinking the same thing about his actions... Park close enough to walk, have an excuse, work at night, work in the rain where noise is drowned out from the neighbors (like a breaking window), and find the closest house that looks like no one is home & ring the doorbell...
This COULD be a good thing as long as they stick to the initial intent of the bill. As stated in the article,
"Supporters say the measure would not create a federal licensing system, but would require that all states recognize lawfully issued permits -- regardless of where they were issued...
