I got a FB note from my 14 year old Grandson last week.
This is my grandson:

I gave it some thought and based...
Tomorrow marks my wife's and my 39th wedding anniversary.
:rockwoot:
We plan to take the day off. Last night she asked me what I'd like to do.
I said "I dunno, wanna go to Outback?"
:dunno:
She said "It's supposed to be really pretty tomorrow, let's go to the range and shoot some."
:D...
Well, I took my S&W M36 to town today. This is the first time I've CC'd. I don't see a need to OC, unless I want to humor my wife.
I have a comfortable setup that gets in the way of nothing, so far. IWB just back of my strong side hip.
As I was driving to town, a couple of thoughts occurred...
A reporter sympathetic to the cause reports that violence was initiated by the protestors.
That's been the left's modus operandi since I remember watching the riots in the 60's.

Police: Man Shot Himself After Confronting Ex - Indiana News Story - WRTV Indianapolis
9mm Glock do you suppose?
I watched an "I Survived" show, I believe, where the survivor survived several 9mm shots to the head.
Then there's congress woman Giffords who survived a 9mm shot to the head.
We loaded up our truck and headed out to the range. This was her first trip to shoot.
She had a S&W 686P loaded up with .38 Special.
Believe it or not, she was accosted shortly after she loaded up.
Little did the BG know what he had let himself in for.
Fortunately I had my video cam...
I just bought myself a Safariland Duty Holster for my S&W 686 along with S&W Duty Belt and a military tritium lensatic compass at the local military surplus.
Along with my National Forest trails map, I'm now ready to go hiking in the great Hoosier National Forest.

The link is above makes for some interesting scenarios and suggestions on how to handle them.
The thread caught my eye since it hit so close to home...
I have applied for but have not recieved my handgun permit.
I plan to go to a range this weekend and shoot my revolver.
If an LEO stops by while I'm using the range, how much confidence is there that he or she will be familiar enough with the new law, which allows me to transport my handgun...
I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks.
Great site with lots of info!
I just bought my first handgun.
I qualified with a .45 1911 in the Marine Corps 36 years ago, loved shooting, but fell into the family raising mode and just couldn't justify the cost of a pistol.
Now that my kids...
