So, I just landed my first professional job!

So story time.... I've bounced around, a lot, within Amazon over the last 14 years. IT Support Engineer --> Tech Lead --> IT Manager --> IT Program Manager --> Technical Program manager with the physical stores (Amazon Go / Amazon Books / Amazon Grocery) --> Technical Program Manger with AWS...

Wow.... This thread is a blast from the past. I'm still with Amazon 14 years later!

      WTS/WTT: Keltec PF9 [Pics]

Looking to sell my PF9. I purchased it as a daily carry and only carried it for about a week. I just prefer my glock 19 :dunno: I never had any issues with this PF9, and it is in excellent condition. Includes original box, PF9, one magazine and magazine finger extension. Purchased in April of...

Why all this TSA outrage all of a sudden?

I would not feel any less safe if people were permitted to carry handguns on domestic flights as long as they had a LTCH or other state equivalent. The body scanner seems a bit over the top, but I could really not care any less. If they want to check out my delicious man curves, they are...

      considering a pocket gun

I have the PF9, and it is slightly larger than the true pocket guns, but it is still very concealable. I can tell you one thing though, it is not fun to shoot. Very snappy and pretty uncomfortable, but in a pinch it can get the job done. Accuracy is pretty decent since it has real sights...

Props to Marion Country Fish and Game

I have been traveling for the past few weeks and finally made it back over to MCFG today and boy was I impressed. Last time I was out there they had the new bays open but no tables or targets. Today when I pulled in I immediately noticed new benches, a few target stands and STEEL!!! Props to...

      Patriotic Lyrics Thread!

I'm for the low man on the totem pole And I'm for the underdog God bless his soul And I'm for the guys still pulling third shift And the single mom raisin' her kids I'm for the preachers who stay on their knees And I'm for the sinner who finally believes And I'm for the farmer with dirt on...

What would you buy on Amazon.com if someone gave you $100 right now

Hmm, did not think about games. That's a great idea!

What would you buy on Amazon.com if someone gave you $100 right now

So I am sitting around and having a few beers and notice that I have enough points on my Amazon rewards card to get $100 in Amazon.com giftcard. If you had $100 to spend at Amazon right now, what would you buy? It can be gun related, or not. Here is what I am thinking so far: Amazon.com...

      my new ar15

Acog on a LaRue mount is a great suggestion! If you don't like the Acog style, check out Aim-Points and EoTech. Other good ideas: LaRue Quad Rail Single Point sling & mount (or 2/3 point if you prefer) Flashlight New stock? Upgraded Pistol grip? Bipod? Depends on what you want to use it for...

      Good .25s and .32s

I agree its better to hit your target with 8 rounds of .22 than miss with 15 rounds of 9mm. I would skip the .25 all together. .22 is just as effective, and ammo is much easier to find, especially for practice at the range. The slides on .22 tend to be easier to rack than the larger calibers...

      Thunderbolt .22

One of my 10/22's will eat thunderbolt all day, but the other one chokes on it. I have had mixed luck with it in my AR with CMMG conversion kit. I have better luck with Remmington or Federal bulk packs, or if I care about accuracy mini-mags.

What were you doing on september 11 2001?

Sitting in high school English class when the principal came over the intercom to instruct all teachers to turn on the news.

      DONT YOU WISH............

reloading .22 sounds like way too much work. I like picking up a box of 550 for $15, and hitting the range all afternoon :)

Physical Fitness is critical to survival INGO PUSHUP CHALLENGE!

Uggh, I have some work to do. 24yo, 6'1", 220lb. I went indoor rock climbing with a buddy last week, and sucked hard. My upper body strength plummeted after high school . Maybe I should give this a try... or stop drinking so much beer.

      Pothead roommate, what to do?

My dorm-mate in college was one of the biggest pot heads I have ever met. I saw him smoke out of everything from an apple to mountain dew bottle wrapped in foil, to a surplus ww2 gasmask, to a trash can with saran wrap over the top... I normally tried to just avoid being in the dorm when he was...

Sanders didn't even make a full quarter?

Too bad about the first game of the season, but hopefully they can do better next week. The defense really fell apart today :( At least Peyton banked me some points for my fantasy league :)

      What gunfire really sounds like

I have fired at least a few shots from each of my firearms to get an idea of what it would be like to use them in a SD situation without earpro. It is much louder than expected. Especially indooros. Even a .22 rifle indoors or under baffles is a little painful.
