      What is considered a "lot" of rounds thru a semi auto pistol?

      How many rounds would be considered "a lot"? I've seen a few posts recommending a pistol to be reliable because theirs has had a 1000 rounds thru it without trouble.       OK I did a search and didn't see anything, So was setting up my reloading area and decided to pull apart a few Federal .45's.
